So yeah, recently I've looked around some neopets bumped into a neopet that was level 3 but with insane stats:


Battledome Stats -

Hit Points: 153 / 153
Strength: GREAT (33)
Defence: below average
Movement: GREAT (33)
Intelligence: master genius (69)


can someone explain how this is possible?

Lab pet. When a pet is below level 20, it can be zapped back to level 1. Since HP is the one stat that won't go down (you can't lose hit points), over time, it will go up.

If you don't train your pet at all and rely on zaps purely to get 20+, chances are you'll get reverted to lvl 1 quite often :3

If you see one with even high stats and a low level, It'll be negged. Otherwise if it has something like HP>STR>MOVE>DEF>LVL, it's probably a lab pet.

But enough for making it a bad idea to zap your pet if you are training it on the mistery island/ninja school.

not often, but think about if you rely on ONLY using the lab to level

Not to mention that you will be losing levels every so often too, so you'll be in the 1-20 range (if you start there) for a while without using codestone training.

So while not common, after a few weeks, it's not improbable.
