Started cheating because I found out you could and it was my totally valid response to unnecessary icing from accounts I actually never cheated on.

I guess most of us got the same reason here. Got iced for an invalid reason.

Yep! I played the game legitimately for 5 years before I got frozen because my sister played Tombola on her account right after I played on my account.

 

Now I cheat a little bit. I use the auto shop pricer, and I've bought neopoints before.

I hate it pretty much actually. I had sent them tons of emails about my account but they simply don't care.

because it exists basically. it's so easy and accesible that it's impossible not to.

i only use abrosia though, without it, it's impossible to restock decent items.

Some people have pretty terrible internet connection, though. Or they're just bad at legit RSing.

 

But anyway, if something like Abrosia exists, why not take advantage of it?

Well, to put it simply, cheating is fast and effective lol. Coupled with the piss-poor customer service and TNT's paranoia of cheaters leading them to random icing, what's not to like about cheating?

I haven't yet, but I want to try ABing or SSing soon. I honestly don't want to get carried away with it, because I don't think I'll be good at it/I don't want to compromise my main (even if I use a shell.)

 

I just really want a 4m item and I only have 700k at the moment. And Hugo's Food Club bets (my main source of income) are shit lately.

I'm not as serious about neopets as I once was, but I still enjoy playing. I like to have as many np as possible so I can have the freedom of buying/doing whatever I want on the site, and ABing is a great way to do that without wasting too much time. 

 

Never had any problems with TNT myself, or had an account frozen.

I started way back when because I hated how things worked on there.  My first account I ever had was frozen for no reason and I was done.  Then I found this site and realized I could rebuild quicker this way.  It turned into not playing to play but to see what I could get away with.  I really have no respect for how they run their site anymore.  I've been warned for things that don't even make sense to me (posting on the trading post that a user made an offer of 800np on my 80000 trade so always remember to double check your offers before accepting).

 

I wanted a transparent pb really bad but they put up so many barriers to making np legit that it would take someone FOREVER to do that. They limit you're ability to earn playing games, restocking and keyquesting.  I understand why they do it but it still ticks me off.  If you limit peoples options they will seek other avenues.

Legit Neopets has been pretty boring for a while now so now I'm playing a ~different~ game.

 

Also, I've always been a little intrigued by cheaters. I thought the paranoia and misinformation spread about cheaters by people who have no idea how the average illegit player actually operates was silly. Like we are all masterful hackers who can do anything we want on the site. I wanted to go down the rabbit hole, find out the truth, etc etc. It's still a daily grind, just a different one.

I started cheating after having FOUR acounts frozen with no reason (being one of them, chatting on the neoboards when pt TNT decided that chats weren't allowed anymore - hundreds of players were frozen just in a couple of days - back in 2007).

When I found Neocodex in late 2008 I decided right away I should stop playing by the rules. And so I did it.

Stopped using neoboards, stopped add NF (only NF I have are my shells  xD to make it more real when I'm sending items/NP between accounts), stopped being a premium member and stopped buying NC.

Since I started cheating I NEVER got freeze or even recieved ONE warning.

Now I just keep abrosia open 24/7 to RS ; and more recently I started to use CheatEngine to AoB'ing. I'm on my way to start wining some trophies and game avatars I never had before because I suck at games and they ALL are boring.

 

Since I started cheating I feel like when I was an innocent newbie and Neo seemed the best thing in the world. The difference is in 2004 I thought having 20k was the BEST and now I can't even think about what to do with my M. lol

I never stick with Neopets long enough to accumulate much wealth / avatars / event trophies, since I keep forgetting about my account and then come back a couple of years later. Then when I do come back, I feel bad because my account looks empty compared to users who stayed with Neopets throughout the years.

 

So I figured if I wanted to pad out my account, the best way (minimum effort and time spent) is to cheat.

I played legitly for years, got iced for allegedly "cheating at the flash games", developed a curiosity regarding how one would go about cheating, and here I am.

Eh, I don't have the patience for flash games (other than slots), and I can't RS for crap.
