Operating system and exact error

Fixed Ran as "Home". Not sure why it would make a difference, but it worked.

I believe iargue wants to know what operating system you're running and the exact error that came up. Or you can do what I did and try everything imaginable.

Yes that would be an example of an operating system. 10 seconds with google would have been able to tell you that.

There's nothing wrong with the file, download it again if it says it's damaged.

My client won't turn off faerie quest completion for some reason. I have to keep manually unchecking it every time I run the program manager (and even then I'm unsure it's disabled). Whenever I do so, I get an unhandled exception error:

"Either you do not have permission to use this feature, or you are trying to set a value other then 1,2, or 3"

I'm assuming this means user level, and the value is set to 2. Either way I havn't seen a change in my pets stats for roughly a month now, so I'm really curious as to why. I've been wanting to turn the completion off and see how long it takes me to get a quest, but as above I'm having real difficulty.

Would anyone be able to tell me how you the get the Program Manager to run on different logins (Computer, not Neopets)? I logged in on the account where I install stuff, then logged in on the account where I actually do everything, and I couldn't open it up. Something to do with 'pre_loader.exe.log'?

Some info so you don't have to ask - OS is Windows XP, installing login is called 'lin', my login 'russ' and the log reads:

Does the login have admin privileges? If not, give it admin privileges and see if that works.

Tried a reinstall of the program?.. Have you changed anything on your comp?
If all else fails, System restore to a point you know it was working? (A bit drastic but may help)

It hasn't been working since I installed it actually. A reinstall may work though, I'll leave that as a last resort though, because then it won't work on my other one, etc
