I'm very new to using Abrosia, and this is also my first post here, but I was wondering, how long does it usually take to sell the items in your shop? Mine have been in my shop, priced pretty low, for hours and hours. Because I haven't done a lot of restocking in my time on the site, I don't know how long it should take, or whether I should just keep pricing lower to see if the items go faster that way. Any help would be much appreciated.

It just depends on the individuals items, some items sell a lot quicker than others depending on how useful they are.

I've had the same thing but it's the same for everyone. Have you tried pricing your items using the Neon AP shop autobuyer in the program list? It should help. :)

It has nothing to do with Abrosia, it all depends on the item you are trying to sell and its price. The lower you will go, the faster it will be sold. Some items are ETS (easy to sell), while others are HTS (hard to sell). Just search the prices of the items you are trying to sell at shop wizard or trading post, and try to go lower than the prices you see for the best result.

And also what Waser said. The cheaper items i've found tend to sell a lot quicker. (1k or less) Just keep playing around with you profit minimum and you could try advertising your shop on boards. That should get you some more views.

You can get a counter here if you don't already have one on your shop:http://www.boingdragon.com/

Hope this helps! :)

Thanks for the advice! It definitely helps. I figured it was related more to pricing and demand than anything else. I'll be sure to check out the Neon AP shop autobuyer, as well. :)

Just wanted to thank everyone who helped with these programs :). Also, I noticed that there is no longer a Kad Feeder and there were no side notes. Is that a program Neocodex is no longer going to work on or?

The programmer who made that is no longer on the team and requested for their programs to be removed.

AttributeError: Abrosia got logged out

It's not a bug, something you did caused you to be logged out.

Whenever I try opening the program it tries to download updates from this website and then fails and says to see the log file for details and when I do it says Traceback (most recent call last):
File "pre_loader.py", line 55, in <module>
File "socket.pyc", line 351, in read
File "httplib.pyc", line 541, in read
File "httplib.pyc", line 586, in _read_chunked
httplib.IncompleteRead: IncompleteRead(5437 bytes read)
any ideas on how to fix this? (I use windows 7)
Also is there any way to turn off the automatic update downloads because those are what is happening whenever it has a problem

I absolutely love this programme even though I'm not an advanced member but it's still making me money. Nice one to the person who created this! (;

Next time search the forums/topic or at least read the previous page. That error is caused by the new premium bar, turn it off.

I'm not sure whether this is the right topic for this, but I presume that people doing the programming here should be reading it.

Anyway, it occurred to me that many of these programs choose random numbers from a range as part of their operation. You know--milliseconds to wait, score to send, that kind of thing. Which is good, because a real person operating a computer will show a random output. The trouble is, when you do the statistics, a real person's distribution will look different from a computer's.

A human's distribution of responses will look like a normal curve, with the scores toward the center of the range being selected more frequently, and less frequently toward the extremes of the range.

A computer's distribution, unless specifically designed to look like a normal curve, will be a rectangular distribution, with each value from the range having an equal probability of being selected.

It would be quite easy to convert the computer's output to a normal curve; you would just have to generate random percentiles, then map the percentiles to the middle chunk of a normal curve (maybe the middle four to six standard deviations?) which covers the desired range. I could do the math on it, but not the programming, because I only know Java.

For all I know, the programs are already doing this. But in case they aren't, I figured I would put the idea up here, to be implemented if you happen to want to do so.

Another thing to consider is how likely Neopets are to be using analysis like that into cheat detection. I'd say it's very unlikely due to the amount of data they'd need to collect on every single user to make a definitive conclusion, when you have tens of thousands of active users it becomes pretty impractical to collect that much data efficiently and accurately.

That's true; it would be a big load to track everyone that way--but it would also be totally possible, especially if it were only to be done in one place, like one of the restock hot spots, or only with accounts flagged as possibly using programs. On the other side, normalizing the data sent would be a very simple thing to do because all you'd need would be an extra, pretty small function to turn your random numbers into a normal distribution instead of just mapping them to the relevant range.

To be honest, I don't see it as a huge risk, either. I'm just enough of a statistics geek that this was the first thing that popped up to me while idly considering the problem of how to detect a computer versus a human.
