i have an HDMI cable and a Philips 105S... for some reason, it will no longer work with my laptop, but will work on my fiancee's laptop. it USED to work on mine, then suddenly stopped working. no sound, no visual. i've uninstalled the driver, plugged it in again, let it reinstall, etc... but still doesn't work. is there a different driver i can download somewhere? because i'm not entirely sure what i'm looking for.

Most laptops have a "Set Output" function key, so even if you plug in the cable, if you've accidentally hit that key, you've turned off the output signal.

Whack it in, and try the function keys. It should have a symbol like |[]|.
