I'm just curious but has anyone here ever tried to fatten up their pets?
I mean yea i realize a pet's weight really doesn't mean anything.

But BBQ porkwiches used to be a lot cheaper than they were now, is there anyone who took advantage of this back in the day to get a super heavy pet?

I used to have a cybunny that weighed like 200 something pounds.

No I've never tried. I didn't even know that you could alter a pet's weight. Thought that was just a random number. Guess I learnt something new.

Are there any items out there nowadays that still alter a pet's weight?

I never realized that this was a thing. I mean sure I knew there was a weight characteristic but I didn't know you could alter it like that, wow.

Is there even an advantage to having a heavier pet?

I just googled it and it says that having a heavier pet would make it get hungry more quickly. I guess thats useful if you were trying to feed the pet stat increasing neggs?

Quote:The only area pets weight is influential is in how fast your Neopet gets hungry. The heavier your Neopet is, the more often it will wish to eat. This can be helpful if you are Negg Training (Raising stats by feeding your Neopets lots of Neggs at a time).

Even if you didn't find this information useful, obviously someone else did.

And as a matter of fact there is an advantage to having a heavier pet. refer to my post above.

I don't remember too well, but doesn't weight also affect the chances of getting a doggie bag from the Kelp and getting the Bon Appetit avatar? I really dont know since I got the avatar when you needed to refresh to get into the restaurant. Is it the heavier or lighter the pet, the better chances of getting the avatar?

i think the bon appetit avatar is completely random. you just need to be bloated and order a cheap food.

iono about the doggie bag thing though

You have increased chances if you have a lighter pet apparently.

You pet needs to be light, lodged, and in my experience, a uni to get a shot at that avatar. I spent over 1 mill getting it once, I guess the getting hungry faster is pretty cool.

I once fed my pet pumpkin neggs. I got him to 4000lbs before I was frozen for harassment.

The earth faerie doesn't fill you up anymore, she gives out randomly strength, speed to defense stat increases.

yea the pumpkin negg is also supposed to decrease pet size i think. So if you are massing feeding them, they are growing shorter at the same time as wider.

I think there is a certain point where they won't get any shorter. Possibly 2 cm.
