Abrosia behaves differently depending how you log in, at least for me. Importing cookies will let you minimize it to where it disappears from the taskbar. Manual log-ins won't make the taskbar disappear. I have tested this consistently.
Haha. Computers seem to have a mind of their own... the programmers tell them to do one thing and it goes and does something else.
(I'll probably fix this and all of the other small bugs when I'm "back" in late April/May-ish... any serious/critical bugs I'll deal with ASAP though since people will get annoyed)
I've been using this for a week or two and it works amazingly. Seriously, within minutes of turning it on I got a veeery expensive book haha, when my old ABer never bought me one single thing. Abrosia has made me tons of profit and I just want to say thanks to the creators!
No problem.
The project still has
lots of work left to be done on it (though the essentials are more or less working great as you can see), but I think that even where we are now with it, it's a huge success.
Also, if anyone is familiar with peerguardian do you use it in combination with Abrosia, just so you wont get ip banned, I know its rare to be ip banned but just asking.
Yes, like LW said, PeerGuardian does nothing good. PG is designed to "block" certain IP addresses that you're connecting to (so they don't harvest your information and sue you if you're downloading a torrent or something), but the only peers you are communicating with are Neopets and Neocodex. If you block NP, you can't autobuy anymore, and if NC is blocked, it can no longer download new lists, authenticate, or update our database.
So yeah, it does no good.
