Just tried running it for first time in a good while

Had to download new version of AB and also the ReqFiles which both seemed to download and install just fine.

Kicked off AB and it has a status of "downloading main shop data from neocodex" after 15 mins ... Is this usual after having to download latest version ?

15 mins? . Normally it will start downloading right after you hit the start button of Abrosia.

Yeah I kind of assumed that was not quite right ... hit the start button and half hour later still downloading shop data ?

I have uninstalled and reinstalled and still getting the same

Any ideas please folks ?

I have newest version of AB and required files ? what have I missed ?

Clothes prices do flucutate a lot .And no, i use the database.

You can use the restock lists to make automatic lists using database, and then remove specific items if you want.

I wish they would allow you to filter the results in plain text for the Item Database like they used to.. takes me nearly a half hour to fourty five minutes to manually copy and paste to a text file..

Go to program files > Main Shop Settings
Make sure "Use lists provided by Neocodex Items Database" is checked.
And if you have it in Manual list, make sure you have a list.
if this doesn't work, I don't know what will.

What error message do you get?

And I do not actually get an error message

I login to the account I use .. click start and it comes up with

2010-09-28 17:08:48 - Abrosia MSAB Started. in the little white window

Then down the very bottom I have the wording "Status: Downloading Main Shop Data from Neocodex ....."

And that is as far as it gets .... no notifications of shopping or anything and no error message ... it just sits there.


I had not used this in ages and when I went to run the version I had it said I needed to update. I downloaded and was then told to update the required files which I did. I have also tried totally uninstalling everything and downloading from scratch but no luck.

I know I have messed something up somewhere but no idea what ........ so all help from you techie type god peeps would be much appreciated.

Using a proxy on either the program or any of your browsers? That's caused problems for people in the past but i'm not sure if it's the same as your problem or not.

Try PMing SL or iargue then and they should be able to look at it in more detail to figure it out.

Check every browser you have installed to make sure NONE of them are configured to use a proxy. Also make sure that after uninstalling Abrosia you delete the settings file manually (as that doesn't uninstall with the program). I found out my problem was that my IE browser (which I never use) was using proxy settings..

I have checked and none are on a proxy

I will try uninstall again and then delete anything left as I did not do that before

EDITED TO ADD ......

BINGO !!!!

Uninstalling and then deleting the "stuff" left behind before reinstalling seems to have done the trick

Prices often fluctuate due to high supply and low demand, so maybe you can try to AB items which are worth (much) more.

Have it running now and can see it refreshing at various shops ...... but ..... nothing showing as being purchased or even available to buy ?

Tried just the igloo for an hour and same thing ?

Have refresh at 0.7-1.2 ... do I need to go lower ?

Have checked tiki shop and not RS banned

^ 0.7-1.2 is dangerously low

Try refreshing at 2 or 3 - 8 secs instead.

Don't bother with igloo, it le sucks.

What shops are you AB'ing in? That can greatly affect how often you see items.

I suggest being able to save more than one set of setting for abrosia like say i feel like abing in magic i load the magic settings and then start ABing or i wanna get small profit i change the settings( shops,RF rate,haggle,ocr ect) then save as Small profit.

Also maybe a attic aber ?

Agreed. It would be great having different settings depending on which shop you're in.
