Lol if it's in a terrible shop I usually stop and start it again, I'm getting SL to add a change shop button xD, thats if he listens to my suggestions, which I think he is intellegent enough to do ;)

I'll tell him to do the opposite. :) There's a good reason why we have that random shop selection.

Wouldn't adding a "change the shop" button just defeat the purpose of not letting people with less then 500 posts choose the shop they AB at?

Grats, and no I don't think it would, because you can just start and stop the program and it will change shop anyway, this way the user just doesn't have to stop and start it to change whatever shop he is in, Just saving newbies a minor inconvenience

Why would we want to save newbies a minor inconvenience when the shop randomisation is good for the database? O_o Perhaps if you weren't so selfish you'd see the purpose for it.

The minor inconvenience is there for a reason.

Hell, he could just make it so you have the inconvenience of only letting it run once/day, and only for 45 minutes. Then you only have the choice of one shop.

Be happy with what you have.

I think maybe it's time we look to enforce it so they can't just restart it and get a new shop. Perhaps we've been too generous up to now.

QFE... it's getting to be taken for granted that the shop switching is "part of the functionality"

And this is after SL INCREASED the odds of getting a good shop on the randomizer!

Gotta say I'm in agreement with the others this time.. even if I get a shitty shop, I let the ABer run and just do it's thing. 45 minutes isn't a lifetime, is it?

If only we had more people like you. :p It's not like it takes forever to get to 500 posts anyway (and use of the program is completely free unlike other places).

I'm not complaining 0.o all of my suggestions are to decrease the chance of players getting frozen.

It looks extremely suspicious if you stop and start the autobuyer to change the shop, that was the only reason I wanted a switch shop button.

 far too generous. Anyone that is going to use Abrosia for long periods of time is going to use a slow refresh rate to avoid RS banning so the fact that nubs can't change it won't really affect them that much. If anything it is helping them avoid being frozen :p. When you couple that with the fact they can just restart the program over and over to get the shop they want, then they pretty much have the same program as the advanced members+.

This makes approximately 0 sense. How would TNT know if you're starting or stopping a third-party program you're not supposed to be using anyway? If they CAN tell, then there are much bigger problems than which shop you're in. The whole process is compromised.

You're not supposed to change the shop, that's the whole point. That is a bug if you can stop and start the autobuyer and be able to change the shop. :/

It should probably look seamless anyways because it's just going to another ID as if you're typing it into the top of the browser. :p

Oh, I'lle submit it to tracker xD

and It's suspicious to TNT, because think of it from there perspective.

User 11837442 Entered shop 13
 User 11837442 Refreshed
 User 11837442 Left shop 13
 User 11837442 Entered shop 28
 User 11837442 Refreshed
 User 11837442 Left shop 28
 ... Etc.
(When said user finds a good shop)
 User 11837442 Entered shop 58
 User 11837442 Refreshed
 User 11837442 Refreshed
 User 11837442 Refreshed
 User 11837442 Refreshed

Why bother with the first couple of shops?

but since it's a bug, my point was irrelevant, Sorry.

They'd have to have a HUGE data centre to track all that for millions of accounts... I think you're seriously over-estimating their capabilities.

Where I work, we process over 700 GB of compressed log data every day with the use of a 700 node cluster using the Hadoop distributed cluster programming framework. I doubt that they even have a cluster dedicated to this sort of stuff :p. Their server farm probably consists of their web servers and that's it.

Honestly, Neopets could be much more technologically advanced, but they choose to be behind the rest :/.

I've actually been pasted a log like that to me from charlotte at neopets. I was asking why I was banned, I never used any external programs. and they told me the Evidence they had suggested otherwise, I asked what evidence they had and she blanked me for two emails but pasted me a log that looked like that in return to the third, apart from it used my IP instead of user #

I'm not saying they track every user, probably only a few users that attract there attention through some other means.

Exactly, I don't think they care enough about autobuyers as to do anything other than to log buy speeds. If they were that bothered about ABers they would have changed the captcha as frequently as they used to, but they haven't changed anything significant for years.

Alright, so 0.9.8 is almost ready for release... I just need to figure out why jcrboy's copy is looping whenever there is item management to be done and the scheduler is enabled. :/

I just removed RS alerts in the meantime because they are malfunctioning pretty badly, lol. I will probably reintroduce them later when it is fixed.

Nice work SL, Whats new in 0.9.8?

And ok you guys win, lol and I don't give up an argument easily.

I guess I'm just more paranoid about TNT's capabilities then I thought.

Only thing I've ever "Cheated" at and been banned from.

Holy balls, is mine the only one doing it?

Could it be a side effect of running multiple instances with different schedules?

I thought that there might be multiple people having this problem but dear god I'm an inconvenience...

How about I try running just one copy and seeing if it goes FUBAR?

I guess then we can try narrowing it down?

Nah, mine get's stuck in a loop too every once in a while, so you're not the only one.
