hey i just joined yesterday as i started up again and saw this site posted at gamerzneeds. quick question about the autobuyer. I am having a similar problem to others. My autobuyer has been on for 4 hours (not rs banned) and has bought 0 items. i tried to change the minimal refresh rate from 8 to 6 but it wont let me apply it. what am i doing wrong?

whats your profit threshold set at and the age of your account. You may have it set too high to really find any items if you can only see up to r79

Nubs should not get access to shops such as Plushie Palace and Stamp etc in my opinion. I know it's not going to happen but there is just too much competition now in these types of shops. These shops will be priced often enough for the database by the advanced+ members so it's not like we need like 500+ new members doing it.

My log looks pretty damn awful at the moment and I'm sure other people have noticed the change.....not to mention it must be nearly impossible to get something in some of the high profit shops if you are legit. Was getting 40-50 buys a day about a week ago and not it's down to less than 10 and that is a pretty good result at the moment.

*waits for potential flaming*

I'd say just remove the 5 or so most profitable shops from the lists of people with less than 500 posts. I dunno which shops that would include though.

Are you sure it's really running ? Because I had some error the first time I ran it and that's why it didn't buy anything !

We're talking about this in the IRC right now. Perhaps we will make the probability list dependent on your post count:

0 posts - top 5 shops removed
100 posts - top 4 shops removed
200 posts - top 3 shops rem'd
300 posts - top 2 rem'd
400 - top shop rem'd
500 - no restriciton

I mean, when the program randomly selects shops, it will avoid picking the top 5 for someone who hasn't bothered to post anything on our site. :p For 100 posts+, it will only remove the top 4 from the randomization process, etc..

I back that Idea 100% infact you could even remove more shops for the first couple stages.

As somebody with hardly any posts using the AB, I agree with this movement to further restrict the AB "trial" version... But with one gripe... I keep getting put in shops like kiko lake carpentry... >_< what a waste of 45 minutes.

That would definitely take care of the competition in better shops from random members with barely any post counts. I support it

Nobody said you have to get 500 posts, it's completely up to you. I think it's only right that we reward our members who actually contribute though because we'd be nothing without them.

You can just make manual lists using notepad and the restock lists.

I think if you're going to take that approach you should remove the manual list function until atleast 100 posts, to prevent people from just taking the sneaky road.

It won't matter though because they still can't AB in the top shops.

Even better idea, just not allow entrance to the shops that are restricted to them and allow the newbies to use the manual lists for less popular, less profitable shops, and be able to ensure they still make some sort of small profit.
