I wonder if TNT will ever release a new pet species?

How long has it been since one was last created, I know it's been years.

What kind of pet would you like to see be made?

The last one was either Lutari or Gnorbu, can't remember which. so yea it has definitely been quite a while. I'm sure they will make a new one at some point, there's just no way to predict when that will occur.

I really don't think we'll see a new species for a long time. Considering how many wearables they have. x.x

Maybe, but chances are low, so I don't think so. :c If they did make a new pet they would have to redraw all the outfits and customization on that pet and it would take ages. TNT didn't really think customization through all that well. ^^;

Good point. Looking at it from that angle, I wouldn't expect a new pet from them any time soon, if ever, tbh.

Which is really sad. The only pets that I still like are Gnorbus, Flotsams, Lutaris, Krawks, and Draiks. Everything else is so bland now, unless painted certain colours, of course.

They used to come out a lot more frequently, though, like 2 or so a year, and even faster before that.

Admittedly, there's a wide selection now, so less need for new ones.

Yes, there is quite a wide selection, to new users.

But to old users who have been with the site for years, it really isn't much. I took a 6 month break from the site, and before that, I two year break... I imagined when I finally came back, there would be something new. And from what I see, the only thing new is Moltara and like 3 paint colors. They need to get back into their game and give us some interesting stuff.

Viacom is just a fail of a company. Neopets is not the only site I been on where they bought it and made it 20x worse.

It seems like the pace in Neopets is slowing down. There'll be less and less new stuff and new places, and all we'll have to look forward to are the plots that they occasionally have.

Hahaha yup, gotta love viacom. A "lovely" company really. >.<;; I'm surprised they came up with customization the way it is now without thinking of how limited it is. You can't even revamp the ugly pets because of it, since they would be put into the same situation where they'd have to redraw all the outfits. That's going to be a problem when the art becomes outdated because all art gets "old" after a while. There's no room for improvement at all as far as pets go. They'll probably always be the way they are now. :c

i could imagine that they bring out a mp for a new species or so for the nc mall. like this rumor about a potion to 'unconvert' your pet, which should be avaliable in the mall one day... i dont think they will bring out a new species avaliable without people paying real money for it. they're too greedy, lol.

I don't think we'll see one any time soon. They just keep releasing new stuff for the NC Mall and it works very well for those who buy it.

I liked that lynx it would be so cool painted Halloween, I voted for him in the poll. But the gnorbu won, I can't believe it won because it was one of the ugliest ones...

viacom is ruining neopets. they only got the site because they saw a need for their childrens content to move into the internet markets. i was just talking with my gf about this yesterday (despite that she hates when i talk about neopets )

the inclusion of NC in everything is a joke to me, despite the fact i feel viacom is evil in the first place.

as far as pet species go, im sure they will release something EVENTUALLY...but who knows how long. i agree that their pace has slowed in regards to content. now with their facebook game coming out who knows the direction that will take. the internet is moving quickly towards flash across the board. neopets could easily be a dying beast because of this fact. no suprise they would stop adding much content.
