If you like rap, these men are all classics you should (never used slightly) visit.
Outkast. Talib Kweli. Mos Def. Atmosphere.
These MCs hardly get the recognition they deserve.
Jurassic 5. A Tribe Called Quest. Pharcyde.
Some of the oldies that will be missed. It is not NWA, it is not DJ Jazzy Jeff, it's the old time conscious shit.

I kid. The only rap I can tolerate us eminem.
BUT if you guys want a shock to the system, listen to "Die Antwoord". Though it probably will be a different experience for you since you can't understand everything they say.
Edit: here is a link

Will Smith and Kevin Federline are both pretty insane... although I think this one will have to go to Vanilla Ice...
Hmm... But then again...
This might just be my favourite rap song. Ever.

im not really into the new shit like rick ross, wiz, wayne, drake, soulja boy and lil b. like some tracks do sound pleasing but most are the same thing. the beats i will say are better now than before but the old music is throwback.
wu tang clan, biggie, pac, nas, AZ, dipset, busta rhymes. people that were whack back in the day are ill to me now a days like ja rule.. new "rap" is shit
and i noticed everyone loves eminem, he didnt do anything great besides bringing weird music to the game. if you look at his songs it looks like somebody with schizo wrote it. hes still good but i wont call him a legend

He's actually one of the only rappers/hiphop artists i listen to. but his style, lyrics, flow, it really seems ... 'off' to me. it doesn't seem like rap. doesn't seem like what i imagine would constitute to a great rapper.
i mean. his music is great but crowning him a great rapper? i'm quite ambivalent towards going there.
maybe i'm overthinking things.
okay i probably am.

Eminem takes it in my opinion. His songs have a profound meaning compared to many mainstream rappers.
