You have a chance of getting a pirate morphing potion for a few different species as well as a lot of other items.

Small chance of getting good items, I would say; just sell it. It probably will deflate soon though

They've deflated quite a bit already. If you're a gambler then open it but your safer bet is to sell!

I opened two and got nothing from both of them...literally. There goes 100k down the drain lol.

The thing about items like these is that the price you sell at will always be more or less equal to the expected value of the reward if opened. The economy ensures this balance. This is as long as the item is not extremely rare/retired, which in this case it is (or will be) very common since it's from the forgotten shore.
If you were to assume the expected outcomes of opening/selling to be equal (as it should be), the only question is whether or not you are a gambler.

Well seeing as you got it for free, why not use it? If you paid for it, that's a different story.
