The United States has finally ended the war in Iraq. Today officially marks the end of the war. Everyone gets to come home!

(But we still have about 100 military bases as well as a $750 million embassy bigger than Vatican City over there.)

The joke about the image is that 3 months after the Iraq War started, President George W. Bush declared that we had won the war and made this big media press conference from aboard an aircraft carrier. They had that stupid Mission Accomplished banner and everything. The war was clearly not over. Now, years later, Obama is declaring the war to be over, yet we still have plenty of military activity going on there 24/7. Just a bit of irony.

We could discuss his status with his super hot asian girlfriend.


I never said super hot. Just plain ol' hot.

That's actually what I thought this thread was going to be about when I clicked it.
