This will be a live scavenger hunt held in the NeoCodex TinyChat room. Instead of posting pictures on the forum, you will be retrieving items and showing them to us on camera. All challenges will be announced in the TC and will only be made available to players at the time of the contest. You must have a webcam and be willing to get on it to be eligible for this game. This is completely separate from the forum Scavenger Hunt.
The contest will be held on Friday, January 6 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM NST. We realize that this is in the middle of the night for some, and could be a work day for others. The competition may be repeated on a different day at and a different time in the future.
Entrants will have a 15 minute window at the beginning of the competition to get into the room and on cam. After 10:15 NST, no more participants will be accepted. TinyChat has a cap of 12 camera feeds per chatroom. Spots in this competition will be first-come, first-served up to 12 participants, so don't be late.
What if I don't want to show myself on camera? That is fine, you may use your camera to show items only. But as I am admittedly Master Creeper of Codex and want to see what everyone looks like (naked): If more than 12 people wish to participate, preference will be given to players willing to show themselves on cam.
Challenges will be posted in the chat window. After a challenge is posted, players will have 10 minutes to produce the item. Those who successfully produce the item will move on to the next round, those who fail will be eliminated. Of course, prizes will be involved. Arrange your sick days and buy your webcams, and we'll see you on Friday.
