Looks pretty cool. I would prefer this to Siri as I could answer my phone calls with voice.

Check out the vid it's just like Siri except no need to push a button to ask it stuff.
No.
Ripping off Siri would be siri on the android phone. This takes siri a thousand times farther then even dreamed of. The person talking to them isn't out of "oooh, this is a cool feature from iphone, lets add it!" Its from 100% need. Its a pair of glasses that you wear, how are you going to tell you it commands when it doesn't have buttons, or a touch screen? Clearly talking to it is the best way to do anything with it.
Saying this is a rip of siri, is saying that movies are a rip off of music, since they also include sound.

Maybe some day?You know this doesn't exist, right?

Honestly, I don't care who rips off of who. I just care who does it best. I'll buy from them .

Augmented reality isn't a "future" thing... that, at least, we can already do.I think this is a really weird idea, it just seems odd that in the future you could have a map etc. put onto things IRL. Maybe I'm a technology phobe but it gives me the shivers.

As someone who wears glasses, I'm not quite sure how this would work out XD
It will work exactly how all other technology works...

Yes, but think about the practical values! Data storage, preservation of quality, etc...

Ignoring iargue's vain attempt at being a cleverclogs, presumably they would come with the option of prescription lenses. As someone who wears glasses, I'm not quite sure how this would work out XD

I don't follow that sentence at all. How does practical values have anything to do what I was speaking about?

In that case, you must've drawn a different conclusion from the statement zrisso made than I - which means I'll write several lines - which I cannot be fucked to do.

They would not be lenses whatsoever at all. The glasses themselves would be retina displays with cameras on the outside that capture what you see. You can adjust the display based upon your visions needs.
It works exactly how other technologies already do, but will be improved upon and combined together. The hardest challenge will be the processing power and battery length into the size of the glasses themselves. That form of technology has not been created yet. But it is our next step.

That's not how focusing works. They would not be lenses whatsoever at all. The glasses themselves would be retina displays with cameras on the outside that capture what you see. You can adjust the display based upon your visions needs.

Yeah. I'm 100% positive that digital magnifiers don't exist at all...
Oh wait....

Google currently has a Siri-type application in dev.

Magnifying isn't the same as correcting a focusing problem.Yeah. I'm 100% positive that digital magnifiers don't exist at all...
