Thanks guys!
Random - I was thinking of woodsbury for a 1 day, cause I heard you need to take a bus to and fro for 40 bucks or so, and yes we do have a girl thats coming with us, and we all know that means we need more time allocated to shopping itself. Hopefully we could slot in a visit to broadway in the evening/night.
Day 2 - Times Square, Madison Square Garden, Grand Central Terminal and Rockefeller Centre( is it better to visit it at night? I heard the night view is better)
Day 3 - Take the ferry ( your recommendation), Wall St + Financial Bull, Ground zero, Pier 17 and visiting the brooklyn bridge.
What do you think of this plan? Would be nice if you could provide me with the best possible directions from a place to the other! Or if you think we should visit place A before B etc.
Day 1 is fine for a shopping day. If she likes designer things, a trip down Fashion Ave might be a good addition. Even shopping at the boutiques in Soho can be nice for the ladies
Both of these get expensive, keep in mind. I've never been to Woodsbury myself, but I know that people love it and there are some awesome deals.
Day 2 is solid. Times Square and Rockefeller Center are both more fun at night. The lights are a big part of Times Square and you won't get the full effect if you aren't there when they are in full view. Same with Rockefeller Center.
Madison Square Garden is nice to see, but there isn't as much as you think since it's mostly a ticketed event kind of place. You can get lost in Grand Central if you don't know where you're going, so it's awesome to walk around there for awhile.
If you have some time left over in the day, which you should, check out a park. Central Park and Madison Square Park are both nice places to relax if you're into that.
Day 3 should be good too. The ferry ride is 30m both ways, so account for that. Staten Island is awful for tourism. You don't even have to leave the terminal honestly, just hop back on the next boat. Not sure how much is open to Ground Zero right now. You'll be able to see the site and where the new towers are being built. There are no tickets being sold on site for the new memorial yet, though.
Let me know where you're staying and I'll help you with travel and directions.
