I'm very, very lucky to have parents who appreciate the wonders of travel and therefore have been fortunate enough to visit some incredible places.

My top experience of another country was without a doubt Egypt. It is a country so teeming with culture and history and architecture that it was difficult to take it all in in a mere 11 days. I travelled with an excellent company called exodus.

The pyramids were my favourite, even in pictures you can't really tell how massive they are until you're standing right next to them:

Haha I guess that doesn't exactly help you get a better perspective wink.gif Anyhow codex I want to hear all about your travels and find out which place in the world has stunned/interested/amazed you most smile.gif

Pics are always good! (:

Well geez. I have become quite the world traveler. I will point on 3 places (one picture for each):

Posted Image

Paris. Spent 8 days there and it was awesome (not really). The locals hated all the Americans and it got old quick. Thankfully, London was next.

Posted Image

Me at Stamford Bridge (home of Chelsea FC). I am on the far left, I spent about a week trying to get into here for a match, and we got in, for a 2-2 draw. Damn you Newcastle.

Best of all. Was Ireland. I spent 6 weeks here, and it was the best time of my life. So. Much. Drinking.

I remember flying all the way down to Vancouver from Toronto just to meetup with a few friends staying there. We rented a car and started on a road trip to the Grand Canyon.. it was quite an impulsive decision actually. We passed by Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and San Francisco --spent the nights in motels all the while. Did various things like gamble at casinos (mostly in Vegas) and checked out famous landmarks (the Golden Gate bridge, Yellowstone National Park, etc) on the way. After reaching our destination we hungered for more and were just like... 'oh fuck it let's just drive down to Florida' so we proceeded to do that. We decked out in Disneyland for a few days, parted ways from there and flew back to our respective provinces.

Best trip to date I suppose.

My favorite trip has, to date, to be Aruba. It's a small island 22 miles off the coast of Venezuela, and the weather was PERFECT. Toasty warm, rained for about a couple of minutes when it actually did rain, and so relaxing.

There were really only two bad bits about my trip, but they were minor and completely avoidable if I weren't such a silly child. I got terribly sunburnt on the back of my hands (who thinks to put sunscreen there?) and my dad signed us up for a 7 mile bike ride to a beach (7 miles being one way :p)

They have their own currency for being such a small country, and my sister was fascinated because one of their coins is square. They also have a different national language, but I can't remember what it was called for the life of me, and I'm far too lazy to check right now.

My favorite trip wold definitely be a cruise to Alaska my family took. Other than the cold weather and rain that occasionally happened, the weather was really nice. Of course, part of it was spent on the cruise ship anyway, but it was still nice. Plus I was about.... 11 or so, so I spent a lot of time in the kid area of the ship and made friends there. There were also pods of whales that passed by the ship and calving blue glaciers.

When we got to the onshore parts of the trip, part of it was spent on a train that went further inland, and another part on a bus, and there we saw so many animals. Whole herds of caribou and bears, just a bunch of stuff. We went on a river tour and watched our guide catch king salmon and explored some of the forest, and (of course) panned for gold, although I had already done that before.

Later we got to go whale watching, and there were tons of humpback whales, and some got really close to the boat we were on. We also went to a dog sled kennel and got to see all the dogs and play with the puppies. Sadly, bad weather prevented us from going on a helicopter ride up to a glacier.

I might be forgetting some things, because it was a while ago and I was sort of young, but it was definitely my favorite vacation ever, although Hawaii was amazing as well.

Best place I've been to was France, Paris & Lyon! It was a school exchange trip for about 14 days. Beautiful scenery, awesome food (the escargots were unbeatable and everything just tasted great except for the stone hard bread presented at every meal), and hot guys. ^_^ When we went to a flea market, the people there were saying all kinds of asian greetings - Chinese, Korean, Japanese - it was so much fun. Many people mistook us for Japanese and started speaking to us in Jap, which we were quite impressed (not that we can understand a lot). Image taken at some mirrors on Eiffel Tower.

Spoiler

I've also been on a tour in China to Shanghai, Wuxi, Nanjing, Suzhou & Hangzhou. It was a very cultural experience, and I felt like I was more connected to my ancestral roots than before. :p The scenery and many buildings were old, yet retained their ancient & natural beauty amazingly (not Shanghai though). It's a place where life isn't as hectic and busy (except for the tourism), and living is simple yet wonderful. Forgot where were the images taken. :x Not in Shanghai, which is a city province.

Spoiler

This is making me want to travel, it's my dream.

Haha, I'm so lame. I've never been outside of the US and I barely do any traveling here anyways.

I've only been to like 2 states (California and Oklahoma... I live in Texas)

But out of those two states, California was definitely my favorite. I loved spending time on the beach and just having fun with my family.

I can't choose between them. I can't be bothered to find proper photos so Google-sourced ones will do.

I just love traveling. I like the action of going-car, plane, train, whatever- arriving, seeing and doing things, and coming home. It's so great.

The best place I've ever been though was Australia. I went on a student trip for close to a month my jr year in high school. I saw Uluru, swam in the Great Barrier Reef, and played in Sydney (with a brief home-stay in Tamsworth.) Obviously, those are very different places, but I loved it all the same.

Oh gosh, I've been all over the place heheh~ x3 Mostly just driving through states/going around the UK/sitting in a country for no more than a few hours for a connection flight, but yeah! Out of all the places I've been to (like living in south Cali (LA + Laguna Beach) and Las Vegas, going to Denmark twice and going to Sweden for a couple of hours for that connection flight), I haven't really done anything because of the lack of money D;

Places I have been to though are Niagra Falls, that huge meteor crater in Arizona, typical Cali stuff like checking out Golden Gate Bridge/Hollywood/beaches..

The best thing out of those was just driving through Death Valley, and seeing the sky when it was night time.. It's so beautiful! ;w; It's like you can just see the entire universe with just your eyes~ Totally need to drive through it again and take looootts of photos! ♥

I travelled Germany and France. So Paris, berlin, Nimes, Bielefeld, stuttgard, chamonix, etc. Super cool. Super touristy and beautiful.

I've been to Hong Kong a few times to visit family. It's nice. But iunno, we don't do the touristy shit so it's kinda... really hot and smelly.

I also went on a road trip from Southern Canada to Disney World, hitting major landmarks along the way

Or my road trip to Eastern Canada. It's so beautiful there ^_^

My favourite might have to be Paris just because of the Louvre... :3

Wow so many amazing places :3 This is awesome!

Pilot~ I did practically that exact same trip last summer with my family but we tagged a week in Hawaii on the end too! :D It was incredible, and I got to go surfing for the first time ever.

Also, seeing as loads of people are interested in travel this is my big brother and his mate's travel blog:

http://getjealous.com/matesonaplane

They've been travelling around the world for the past 10 months and their blog is pretty hilarious. They like culture but they also like getting absolutely wankered in as many different countries as possible xD If you're into travel/where the best clubs are ;) Then you should give it read!

Since I haven't been out of the US (sadly), I would have to say Clark Creek Natural Area in Woodville, MS. Amazing that something good can be found in that state.

It hadn't rained in a -long- time so the waterfalls were very small. Still an awesome place to explore. I love the wilderness, trails, and things like that so that's why I enjoyed this place.

I would have said the mountains in Tennessee, but I actually haven't been able to experience many of the parks or trails there.

Gosh, you guys have all been to cool places. Only time I ever went out of the country was Australia in '99, and I don't remember very much of that xD
To date... probably still Disney World. Which I also remember very little of. Followed by Wrightsville Beach (:D) and an assortment of other tourist traps.

Even though the most beautiful city until now was Prague, I'd pick London as the best place. I went there 2 times last year with my best friend and it was awesome. (Okay, I also have to admit that I've been nearly nowhere outside of Germany; except for 4 weeks Croatia every year, which sounds better than it actually is..)
But still, it was awesome.

Even though I don't like my hair on this foto; this day was just so hilarious, I'll always love it.

But I'm really jealeous about your pictures and where you've been all! It all looks so great :( I want to travel the world. Right now! (with an netbook or something, so I can still play Neopets.. :D)
