I'm sure many of you are veteran players of Neopets. What are some things you miss about how things "used to be"? I personally miss the tombola coin/nerkmid/booster pack offers that were so easy to cheat at wayyyy back in the day. I also would say how more tolerant and mature the audience was.

Yeah I miss the shops restocking at the minute mark and the old pet stances. It was neat how almost every pet/color combo was unique on its own, instead of copy/paste kind of thing.

That sounds awesome. I really wish I had gotten on the cheating scene earlier

I miss unconverted Neopets, they just looked so much better.

I miss having the drive to make NPs so I could paint my pets cool colours like plushie and grey. Nowadays all neopets have the same freaking pose for everything and that lost it for me. Plushies actually used to look like real plushies, and greys actually had dejected poses.


edit: I also miss wars. BD pets mean practically nothing now

I gotta agree with you there...things were more..."real fun" and less "television-fake-fun".

I think the plushie poses are what I miss most paint brush wise!! I was soooo stoked that I could finally get the pb but they'd changed the poses and bleh.


As for me, I miss not having to deal with ads. I know, I know, "ad-blocker, duh possum" but seriously, I wish I didn't even have to bother with it.

Yes, yes it was, to be honest, now that it's $2 or less a mil, I almost think I might quit.
It's not the old neo I knew and loved.
I'm fuckin' 23.. gotta get over the whole neo thing.
I only really came back to try and sell np again, but getting it has gotten harder, & the time taken is more than the worth.

I agree, I really miss that layout. I remember I quit for awhile and came back to the current one wondering what the hell was going on. Now I'm used to it and the old one I was used to looks very strange.

I miss when everything was more attainable; prices weren't so ridiculous, it was easier to get rich, you could get the avatar collector av with fewer than 90 avatars, the pets looked so different from each other, and the greys actually looked sad.

i missed the days when the adam avatar was only 4m. lol and you cand borrow an avatar item with only 1m collateral.. =) and the most expensive one is the SuAP avatar and the BCG...
