I saw it last night in 3D and granted I was pretty drunk, the 'jokes' in it fucking sucked on top of the shit 3D giving me a massive headache.
I hate Iron Man but Captain Americas hair is perfect so whatever. I dealt with it.

but the resident nerd beside me says it was pretty good.

Nobody completely stole the movie out from under the feet of everyone else (although RDJ avoided it only by the slimmest of margins by dint of being hilarious and classy and calling Loki 'reindeer games'), and I didn't immediately hate Black Widow and Hawkeye for being wimpy.

Some feat, since I have a serious thing for Thor in this universe. They had a lot of as-we-go character development and the plot fully expects you to have seen the previous movies, or at least have a vague concept of what happened in them, so there's very little time wasted on bullshit LET'S MEET THE HEROES recaps.

If you hate comic book logic and comic book presentation, you'll hate this movie, but if you're willing to suspend disbelief (as you should be by now, it's a fucking comic book movie), you will be a grinning idiot from beginning to end.

"Have a care, ...he is still my brother." "Your brother murdered 80 people in 2 days." "*faltering*..he's adopted."

** STAY THROUGH THE ENTIRE CREDITS. It's so worth it. I saw this at a midnight showing before an early workday and I continue to say worth it despite the sleep dep and general surliness that followed.

That's another thing the 3D was so unnecessary for this movie, it completely ruined the experience for me. It always makes the image darker, I wish it would die out...

I just got a job with my local movie theater and I get free movie tickets. I think I know where my first free ticket is going to! I wish I started my job last week so I could have seen it the day before. Glad to hear it was amazing, I'm excited to go see it.

I just got back from watching it on the Ultra Screen3DX. My God that was an awesome experience. Not only was the movie action packed, but it was hilarious. All the ego's and differences in character really clash in the movie and make the story line fun and quirky. For those who've seen it, when Hulk treats Loki like a rag doll was when I laughed the hardest. Definite must see!
