However, Instagram has allowed many smart phone users to use their phone camera more often I suppose? It has also sparked some creativity in some of them and I've personally seen some amazing shots on Instagram, all taken with their smart phone.

i have a friend who uses it for convenience because you can post to facebook, tumblr, twitter, flickr, etc at the same time.
and i've considered it but i don't wantthat ugly "posted with instagram" thing on all my posts.
honestly people think their photos are ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS by adding a little sepia or vignetting but really i find it ugly and cheap and overused and this was an unpopular opinion i think

Whatever, I'm pretty ambivalent towards it myself. Let the hipsters hip.

I don't really care one way or the other. My favorite part was browsing other people's photos on it. People take some awesome shots. It was kind of like tumblr for me for a while, except without reblogging.
And really the camera on the iPhone 4 is so good, most photos look great with no filters at all.

Good girl.I used to use instagram, but then Drak told me to stop so I don't use it anymore.
I find your lack of relevance disturbing. You can hate it if you want, the owner's have more money than you ever will.

The colour of the text in your avatar reminds me of this:This is probably the reason i dislike it, all I ever see are ugly drunk people on my newsfeed in sepia =\

Seriously, I never see any of my friends post normal photos that aren't edited anymore.
The member pics thread here reminded me of that. Almost everyone (especially the females) photoshopped their pics.

If I want to edit pictures I use Photoshop.

I use Lightroom for photo processing. Makes things so much easier.
