I don't have a best friend. I've got friends, but I don't see many of them for years, and I talk to them on MSN at least once a year. I don't mind, since I'm not a social, going out to party type of person. My workmates and old classmates are my acquaintances. I don't have a social circle of close friends at all, I'm a loner. I don't rely on anyone to cheer me up or keep me sane.

It's ok we ish awesomes  . Jay see's our conversations on FB and MSN and is like "How can two girls so far away from each other be so alike??" xD

For me it was just a really big difference from having people text me constantly, ask me to go out and chill, go to theirs and watch movies etc to having nobody near to me.
Since I moved here all my British friends just dissipated. My Facebook feed now consists of "Going out to party tonight! Woop!"/"Time for drinks!"/"Who is out this weekend!" which to me used to be fun but I've just outgrown that mentality too.
It is kinda hard to explain.
I think I miss doing girlie things like go shopping, chill with my bestie and watch chick flicks, popping for a little drink with a friend after work.

I've been continent jumping since I was 8. I used to have a group of close friends that I'd hang out with every day before that.. But after moving around a few times, I was never able to form bonds like that again. I don't miss a lot of what you described because I never experienced it :o Which should be sad, but it's not since I don't know anything different :p

I knowww, Daniel says the same thing haha. Well, in so many words. He just says basically that it's hard to believe we have never actually met because of how often we talk, and how well we get along. Not to mention it's been like a year.. everyday. :)

*fist bumpppp*

I have a lot of acquaintances that I've met through college and work. We party and talk sometimes. But in regards to really close friends that i'll do anything for. I have like 4.

^This.

I know a lot of people. Every time I go anywhere I see someone I know, but I only have about 5-6 friends that I put a lot of trust in. There are times when I'll go a few days without talking to any one (just stay holed up in my apartment) and then there are days where I'm never home because I'm always out. Depends on my mood

During school months, I get around, but during the summer I just chill with some people my age from church.
Like 7-8 person group.

Being in marching band, I guess I have a pretty big social circle... everyone is more or less friends with each other.

But I have a group of 5 or 6 people that I hang out with a lot out of school.

I have a pretty small circle when I'm not back at home or at college, like now. Since I've been working full time, I mostly hang out with my roommates and one or two other friends. At home and at college I have a couple different small circles of friends so there's always something for me to do.

I leave behind a social circle and one or two good friends every time I move, which I've done often in the last 4-5 years.
The result is that I have a huge network of friends who I'd have to contact I showed up in their city for a weekend and a dozen really close friends that scattered around America and Europe.

Why haven't you guys (Kiwi and Woug) met up yet?

i am terrible when it comes to social interactions. people get weirded out by me within seconds. i just can't keep my mouth shut and say what i think. or i don't say anything and just stare because i am so baffled of the stupidity of people. either way: whenever i tried going out it turned into a desaster. so i am not doing that anymore.
i don't think i need a thousand people around me, who tell me what i want to hear. i much prefer a handfull of people who didn't get creeped out by how i am and made the effort to get to know me and are now loved by me forever. and always tell me what they actually think.
i have two really, really good friends, both girls. furthermore i get along superwell with my younger sister and my cousin. i know they are family but i also consider them as close friends.
besides of that, i got some onlinefriends (here xD) who i couldn't live without anymore. sure, you don't meet to go out and stuff, but we still have deep conversations and share our daily life with each other. since those people are from different places of the world, it never gets boring and often i even tell them much more about my feelings, than i would ever tell people i meet irl. just because they are so far away. (that also makes me cry sometimes though... I WANNA HUG YOU PUNK!)
