Mind you this was SEVERAL YEARS AGO.

At that time, I had a slice of starry cake, or whatever, I forgot how I got it but it was worth a fair amount of neopoints. Like, unbuyable status--not huge, but well over 100,000 neopoints.

Mind you there were HUNDREDS of this item.

I placed it at 90,000 to make a quick sale.

Within an HOUR the value of that cake had plummeted from 100,000 neopoints to under 16,000 and I was PISSED :p

Has anyone else had this experience?

Are you sure that the item was not from a giveaway or easily obtainable event? There must be a lot of people who are desperate to sell the item for it to drop drastically.

I sell 200-300K priced UB's all the time for 99K and now the price almost never drops.

When I read the title, I thought you really destroyed the market. I thought to myself: no one can destroy the economy better than TNT

We control the economy. Blame ourselves.

Yeah... no...
Everyone just wanted to sell it at the same time -> price goes down -> you think you did something

Thats why I dont price my ubs on the tp. If the median price is around 500k for example, and you price it at 200k on the tp and dont accept any offers, the market is bound to crash :D

Well it also depends on the quantity of the item, if there are many you won't crash shit :)

Very true, but there aren't a ton of ubs that are in super high quantities :D its pretty easy to inflate items though... I inflated mootii from 500k- 1 mil for a week or two

yeah...this was probably 6 or 7 years ago, the item wasn't a giveaway item, it was back when TNT promised there would never be ads on neopets.

Oh the good ol' days :p

I crashed the market a couple times. Inadvertantly ... still manage to come out on top, though.
