It does work well as a one man operation if you've got enough capital and are willing to commit to research. Don't bother working in a large team. Even if Neopointmaker is honest, you can't believe everyone in the group will be honest.

8 years ago.. me and my buddy did this. step by step guide.

wat we did was choose a buyable cheap r99.
inflate it to UB status with spare account
place them all in shop for 99999.
place some ETS in TP on yr main account and wish list the particular r99 but lower value
eg, placeing a honey potion / baby pb (worth 600k that time) and wishlist "4x of the r99"
greedy people will start clearing yr spare acc shop.

its highly profitable, if the group is small, i recommend 4 person max.

we usually choose r98 ~ 99s, we clear the stocks all the way to UB status..
sometimes we can find cheap ones like 10k+ ish on shop wiz, and pump it all the way to unbuyable status.
it wont get restocked so quickly so, we have a lil time to play with.
there wont be anyone selling it cheaper, as the shop wont restock it.
so u're the only shop selling it @ 999999.

and yes I do accept an offer, but of cus its my spare account's offer.
reason being, there will be people neomailing you, like "HEY BRO, WAIT FOR ME, I AM GETTING THE STUFFS"
and i'll just reply "sorry buddy, first come first served"
and i'll accept my spare's offer so that he won't report me for scamming, cus from his perspective, i had accepted someone else offer.

when greed sets in, everything goes..

best scenario is r99s, 2 persons is enough, each person will have ard 30+ to 50+ of each time..
so we'll earn around 3~4mil per run easily..

rule of thumb is, try to get as little ppl involved as possible
and only trusted people, if not when they back out, u'll have to take their stocks at inflated levels which hurts the profit ALOT.

for lower rarity is doable too, but more people means more risk..

i've done it a few times with much success, not sure if anything changed in neopets now. hahaha

I pulled this off years ago with retired items. We made upwards of 20 million each in a span of about 2 months. Then again, it was a core group of 4 people I knew personally.

PM the name of the item. Im interested in seeing if its worth putting in some capital. I have several hundred million collecting interest so an investment opportunity while I just collect sounds like a nice move. Haven't really touched neo in months outside of collecting interest so this might give me something to do. Better not be a dumb item though...
