This has certainly been a read...

As for images on programs and around codex its self can you not just add the images used from neopets.com jabber, which neo provide for other sites using their images? Because even in the zaps thread were posting images from neopets and on the item db too.

This is a more out of curiosity question, when making spardel I was reading up on the laws and all that and about you should have a privacy policy when having people adding their email addresses to forms or signups? Do you have a privacy policy for when people enter their neopets logins on programs? Or terms and conditions? Or is that a case of because the user downloaded the program they use at their own risk. Also what do you do about the COPPA thing? I assume all ages are using codex

We have a privacy policy in the Rules section:

That would be applicable on anything connection to the site including, but not limited to, the forum and programs. As for COPPA compliance, we don't allow under-13s to register here because it's too much of a hassle having to deal with getting parental permission etc (and the shitload of paperwork which goes with that). If somebody under-13 does register then we either remove their account or suspend them until their 13th birthday.
