I can testify to that! Recommended another site to a NeoFriend and TNT was on it straightaway! It wasn't until they started being such *insert swearword*s that I started looking around and found this site. Ironic really.

Just be sure to use proxies and don't use your main account that you never want frozen.

If it makes you feel better, you're not the only one who got frozen for mentioning Codex. Someone mentioned them on the NC board when non-US people asked how to get NC cards (cause codex sells them) and she was frozen. Someone else used the IDB as a price checker and got frozen as well.

 

Welcome though; Neo is a lot more fun with cheating. ^^

I don't even think it was anyone reporting me because it was in a Neomail to a friend. She wouldn't have reported me, I think it was just one of their bots designed to freeze people who say anything like that (NeoCodex, codex, etc). That's what I've learned on here, anyway.

They monitor neomails too, once I was neomailing a friend to tell her I just came from a funeral, and half an hour later I got warned -.-. I am sure she didn't report me, because she wasn't even on. They probably have a list of words and get an alert when someone uses them on neomails.

But that was back in 2001, before viacom took over, before the site became super profitable, and back when it was mainly targeted at college kids.

 

And yeah you also can't say pissed, seaweed, or bipolar on the boards.
