Ok, so I have the purchased version of abrosia. I'm new to autobuying, and used rikku's guide to autobuying, my settings are just like in the guide (can't remember them off the top of my head.) I don't spend too much time in an individual shop, but I can leave abrosia open for a looong time and it'll miss...over 20 items and buy absolutely nothing! At first, things went well, but recently, I have made little or no profit from abrosia. And I'm paying for it, so I thought it must be better yet to have the full version. Is this just how the program works? How many items do you guys get, in an hour's time, for example? Does it have to do with the np I have on hand? How many shops I visit?

remember: you're not alone out there and there are many factors influencing whether you get items or not (e.g. how many others are restocking there, how laggy is neopets, how laggy is your own connection, how lucky you are with your refreshes, ...)

 

it's always a trade-off between low enough times for the shop you want to RS in vs. risk of being frozen and a big bunch of luck

Nothing has really helped. Abrosia's only getting worse for me. It's so weird. I have a decent speed connection, and decent settings as well. I just can't believe how so many people say they get all sorts of great items and I can't seem to get anything worthwile. I've gotten five items over three days...and they're HTS so it's just a waste of NP.(And $) I'm sorry, but I'm just really disappointed. Just needed to add this to the post, since it adds up to how I've seen the program functioning. Guess you'll think I'm whining, but I could care less. It's just the feedback I've got.

well I made 8m today, so it is working for me.

Some things that can affect Abrosia's success:
-How many people are on Neopets (today is Saturday so that is a lot of people)
-Internet speed (if you're playing Call of Duty, streaming Netflix, and running Abrosia, you won't get as many items)
-Settings/lists (sometimes the items Abrosia looks for by default just aren't restocking. Making your own list can help improve profits)

I always get my best stuff late at night and in the middle of the day during the week.

I was just posting about this a couple days ago and now that i've worked out the settings and tried different shops, I've really seen all the items come in now.  You have to be patient and tweak the settings and experiment.  I'm really just rehashing of what everyone else has been saying and its true.
