I've managed to get the rainbow flask and the avi and really, it's not that bad getting some profit out of it now and then.

I like seeing my fishing level go up.. Its just another daily that can be worth it

In the higher levels, you pick up more valuable stuff. My pets pick up bags of broken neopoins pretty often.

I guess it depends on what you describe as worth it. At the very high levels, some items with fair profit margins are available, but incredibly rare. Not worth it imo.

My pet has fishing level 290 or so, still never caught anything exciting. I fish daily in vain hope, but...

Don't you get an item worth like 500k or something in the long run - I read that somewhere where if you keep fishing, eventually once you reach a certain level you will be able to fish for items worth the time. But it is a far and long time before reaching.. I recall there being some sort of ring? If anyone can help me out..

Nope, its random what prizes you receive and when. I once received a flask of rainbow fountain water at fishing level 47. Some people have yet to get one and their pet is > level 200

Yes def  - I've gotten 2-3 Rainbow Fountain Waters and a Mysterious Swirly Potion. I don't bother to switch pets though.

i think the avatar's totally worth it, plus you might get a swirly potion or something and considering it only takes max one minute per day i think its a great investment in the long run
