In terms of social sites and networking Facebook is a forefront leader followed by Twitter and Tumblr. However these other sites do not offer the same level of social interaction that Facebook offers. The only comparable site is Google+ which is scarily close but more stream lined and easier to navigate to the pages and communities of interest.

As Napiform said, "I like Google+ but none of my friends are there." Which seems to be the main reason why no one is using it. So I pose this question; Taking your friends out of the equation which site better delivers the social networking that you're looking for? Facebook or Google+?

Way to make it so I can't answer your question. Jeez.

I can't read. I talk to enough strangers here. I don't need community after community of strangers knowing what I'm up to.

I found google+ to just be a knee jerk reaction to facebooks success, (and google needed more Internet control). :p

Taking that out, I prefer Facebook for (sadly) the games. I have a lot of fun with them (I know google+ has some games, but honestly I like FarmVille2, which google+ doesn't have.) Yes I know it's a sad reason, *hangs head in shame*

I like the look of facebooks profiles better than I like google+ profiles. (There's the better reason.)

Well don't get me wrong, I play Galaxy Legion on Facebook and I've gone so far as to make a Galaxy Legion Community on Google+ so I think there is plenty of room for cross site socializing. I'm just curious about opinions on the social aspects.

Facebook. Unless you can move all my friends to Google + then I'll probably be convinced that Google+ is the next big social networking site but I really don't see that happening. Ever.

I really like the style of Google+, and I'm a massive fan of almost anything Google, so I do prefer Google+, but friends, yeah :/

I feel as if Google didn't make signups to Google+ being 18 or over, more of my friends would have used it, and I would too. But they didn't, so I don't either.

The only thing I can think of in response to this is...

why would anyone under 18 say that they're anything under 18?

Because they're truthful or honest?

Because their parents want them to and they're obedient?

That's like comparing a cheese burger to a ritz cracker with string cheese

I may or may not have clicked "Yes I'm at least 18 years of age" to access porn sites, when I was not above said age.

Don't lie. It was more exciting to click yes I am at least 18 years of age before you were because it made you feel like you were doing something even more dirty and secret then you already were.

Facebook is like the main host of an event having a cheese burger while Google+ weeps with his ritz cracker and stale cheese in the farthest corner of the room, which is overshadowed by Myspace's towering figure

Here's where you did it... yesterday.

I really like the style of Google+, and I'm a massive fan of almost anything Google, so I do prefer Google+, but friends, yeah :/

I feel as if Google didn't make signups to Google+ being 18 or over, more of my friends would have used it, and I would too. But they didn't, so I don't either.

I like the style, I like having little circles to sort my friends in, I like being able to share straight from my blog to G+.

All my friends/most of my family are over 18 though and I still couldn't get them to use it. I tried hard core for a few months, quit facebook to try to encourage them to follow me out... so they started texting me more and that didn't work out well.
