I don't consider using NP on stocks or food club to be "spending" them. My question was more targeted towards actual NP sinks where the purpose of spending is not to get more NP. Money spent on things like stamp collections, pet painting, avatars etc will count, while things like investments do not.

 

After all, if the only things you spend on are things to help make you more NP, then what's is the ultimate purpose of earning all that NP?

The purpose for me is that I do things on impulse.  At the moment I could care less about pet painting, but let me see something uber cute and that will change in a second.  Then I'll want the np in the bank to go wild and buy 2 paint brushes, a morphing potion, and a few sets of clothing without breaking the bank.

I just started playing again but what I'm aiming for are:

 

• painting my pet
• collecting stamps, cards, avatars, stuff for my gallery
• secret lab on new account (I have access to it on my old account)

Training and weapons maybe towards the end when I have everything I want. I never really got into the battledome.

I can't spend my NP. I'm a hoarder of it. *grabs bags of NP and hugs them*

Though here's what I've spent them on:

• Dr. Sloth Battle Duck (and other BD items)
• Faerie to learn abilities
• Lab Map pieces (for my shell and side)
• FFQ (very cheap actually)
• PB, MPs, and Transmog
• gallery items 

I actually have no idea what to do with my NP, so I hoard it. Though, I'd have to say I spent most of it with BD equipment/training.

I just keep them in the bank, watching my balance slowly creep up.  Occasionally I'll buy a new weapon for the battledome, but I don't like to spend a significant portion of my neopoints.

I'm too impulsive to have a set purpose for my NP. I buy whatever looks shiny at the time. Sometimes I try to buckle down and devote myself to something specific, like prettying up my pets or collecting items, but it never lasts. So basically...I spend my np on everything.

I'm split between buying the stuff I want in Neopets and selling the Neopoints for real cash... Decisions decisions.

I've finished painting all my pets, so now I just have to finish customizing them and then after that... I don't know! I've got some friends who play so after I buy all the shit I want for myself I don't see why I can't just help out my buddies.

Pet trading and pet customs. You can get a fantastic BD pet with a surprisingly low amount of neopoints spent on a custom...

I spend a lot on training and randomly painting pets. I guess there isn't a lot of point to Neopets for me, so I'm not sure why I keep coming back, but I do.

 

I think if I became really rich - in the billions - I would buy a lot of krawk and draik MPs and use them on pets from the pound, then release one per day.
