I watched the anime and read the manga and I'm really angry that at this point, it's a massive waiting game for new content.

The only person I really liked is Armin and that didn't changed even after reading ahead.

I want to talk about the manga so badly. The anime really only dipped into "premise" layer of the series and not the deep conspiracies and true tragedies that are yet to come. Anyway, for those who are non-manga readers, expect some great plot revelations. Without spoiling anything, try an analyze the 2nd opening frame by frame. Think character order of appearance, symbols, and split second images.

For the non-manga readers, here's some non-spoiler information you would like to know regarding the future of the anime. Each manga chapter is about an episode. There is 47 english-translated chapters out there (there many be one or two more untranslated ones thus far). If you consider 12 or 13 episodes a season, then there are 3-4 seasons of doable content ready for an anime without the fear of the dreaded hiatus or even worse "FILLERS". At the recent chapters, I don't personally foresee the series ending in the next 10 chapters because of sheer intuition, but at the same time, it won't be in the same category as Bleach/Naruto/One Piece/FairyTail/etc.

tl:dr this anime could potentially last longer than 50 episodes, but not as long as Bleach.

Read both the manga and the anime. I think the anime will most likely end up at 24 episodes, while the manga will continue on for at least 15+ chapters. Gotta love the first season's OP.
