There wasn't a really long queue at the place I was at because they gave out these coupons that allow you to buy 3 happy meals at once.

Most people disappear after getting the coupon.

The catch was that the coupons went out really quickly.

That being said I think it's a singaporean culture - "kiasu" - meaning afraid to lose (out on the toys). HAHA.

I'm not very sure, but for a normal postage it costs sgd 1.50~1.80 to send to USA. :)

To ship to the U.S it's way more expensive than the ~2 tag for you.

$25 via International Priority Mail
$12.95 via Flat-Rate Box (International Priority Mail)
$9.85 via First Class

or calculate using this:

Well anything can be collectable nowadays. That being said, logic dictates that they will hold value better if they werent removed from original packaging

Yeah I realised the $1.80 was gmarket (asia) special rate LOL. I just checked it costs around $8 and up. :(

Hey! I've gotten a friend in aus to collect most of the designs in australia for me. :D

So I don't need the gun with the red thingy anymore, unless you would like to trade with one from singapore's. :)

Don't worry about the banana piece too! I've got a trade for that already :)

Thank you so much for your help!!

First, Hello Kitty. Now, Minions. I really don't see the point of queuing up for something that you would put on your shelf as white elephant. Quite a waste of food for Happy Meals that were dumped just because some people just want to get those minions or hello kitty.

Nothing will ever beat the hilarity that was the hello kitty craze. For reference - http://www.straitsti...-kitty-20130626

There were literally fights over who came first, as well as queues that stretched over for hours. And if that wasn't enough, people were selling them on ebay for overly inflated rates of 50 dollars minimum. Best part? There were buyers willing to go more than that.

if there's one thing we're good at it's fueling nonsensical fads

My first reaction over the hello kitty craze was, "so we are into toys now?" people queued for hours in hazardous level smog just for those plushies. It gets stupid

No thanks. I don't even want the ones I have. I sometimes feel like the only person in the world who finds the minions kinda disturbing.

I have to say that it's some kind of undying obsession with hello kitty toys in general. I remember than in 2000, the craze was already there, so it can't be a generational shift....more likely the people chasing after the toys are the ones who were doing it back in 2000.

Queues started forming just after 11pm at night....it was completely bonkers

I just find them irritating and charmless in general. The whole movie was a slog
