Fox news has always been a joke. It's ridiculous that a Muslim academic writing about Christianity is shocking news when no one bats an eyelid about Christian academics writing about Islam.

Most cable news is ridiculous but I think we can all agree here that Fox News is especially ridiculous.

At least they have a lesser tendency to blatantly report dumb stuff

every news agency definitely has some degree of bias/bad reporting, but it's the extent of it that counts.

Some degree? When the organizations who are supposed to report political or corporate atrocities, for example, are owned by those corporations and control those politicians, there is no degree of unbiased reporting.

Prove it. One major news agency isn't enough to cover your blanket statement

Neither did I claim that news agencies are free of bias, just the degree of it (and it varies according to the type of news). So when I read the news, I do it with a filtering mindset and expose myself to different news so that I'm aware of it. There's no point in relying on one news agency for your daily source of information

Well, news has to be more sensational and juicy to catch the attention of readers. Objectivity of news reporting seems to be fading with the influx of online news reporting. That's why I sometimes also refer to social media for news discussion to get a better idea of actual situation.
