If someone would like to compile a list of seasonal items, I'd be happy to add them in. I don't have as much experience with season item swings as others; as I prefer the long term method.

Just food for thought, bought Inside the Mind of a Lupe years ago and recently sold for 500% profit.

Did you buy them all for 1np? Because they're ~500np on the SSW Unless they were more and people have flooded the market with them in hopes of turning a quick profit....

They may be at that price or more in the future (mid to distant at best), but definitely no time soon...just about like the Plump settled down after getting a tad insane for awhile.

They'll also struggle to sell so many of them because the demand just isn't that high. Futurama already said that he's not bothered about being unable to sell them though. I think he's just buying them for fun.

What he should do, is buy a majority of them, self-freeze that account (or accounts) then keep a few aside to reap the gains after that

In essence, keeping a load of them in your SDB is the same as if they were all removed from the economy by self-freezing except you don't waste a load of NP when you keep them.

I had bought them at 200np, priced them at 1k. Because I had so many, and investor bought all of them the first day they were in my shop. I was nice enough to let him know that they weren't good as an investment piece.. saved him from buying another 7k.
Also, I agree, taking that amount out of the economy is more of a silver lining (har har) once you get iced; I'd much rather have the items in the SDB.

Yes, but that wasn't my point. Futurama cares not about the NP he has, because he can easily get more with a click of his fingers Hence why it wouldn't matter if he iced the account(s) they were on or not

My point was that whether they're on a self-iced account or whether they're in somebody's SDB they're still out of the economy anyway so that makes self-icing the account unnecessary.

Thanks for bumping this up from the dead. When I have time I'm going to actually check the prices on all these books and see how much they jumped up...I actually remember most of their prices from when he made this thread...(~8K-~20K)

Out of curiousity, have you done that yet, and has anyone written a similar guide for mid-term investments?

Usually, I just buy the shit out of one item.
