I went to the store for a few things yesterday, I saw egg nog in the section with the milk, and had to buy a carton. So, I was wondering. What's your favorite holiday treats?

For me?

Halloween- I have one absolute favorite candy that you can only find at Halloween, and its these lil white candy cigarette type sticks. They have Marvel Comics characters on the lil boxes, and there are two sticks in each box. I also like Mallow Pumpkins, but not as much as the candy sticks.

Thanksgiving- Pumpkin Pie. Hooves down. My absolute most favorite Holiday treat. Since it's just me I usually go to Cracker Barrel for Thanksgiving. I look forward to it, as I love their Thanksgiving meal, and I dont have to cook anything or clean up afterwards.

Christmas- Chocolate Covered Cordial Cherries, and a Limited Edition Lindor Truffle. The truffles they only put out around Christmas, and theyre milk chocolate on the outside, and white chocolate on the inside. They come in a light blue bag with a snowman on it, and theyre oh so yummy! I also stock up on Seasonings Candy Cane Lane tea, as its a strictly holiday thing too. And of course the aforementioned Egg Nog. Southern Comfort is my favorite, but obviously without adding any SoCo.

So, What's yours?

Halloween is candy corn and bottlecaps.

Thanksgiving is fruit salad (made with certain fruit, jello, and whipping cream)

Christmas is chocolate covered cherries (I make them myself for everyone but me and then go sneak a box of the store bought stuff) I love egg nog too.

I have always wanted to try the chocolate covered cherries, but cant seem to find a brand of good quality. Which would you recommend?

I meant cherry cordials. We just call them chocolate covered cherries cause 'cordial' is a word for fancy people. (I'm inbred.)

Halloween - Too much, but my VERY favorite would most definitely be those little packets of life savers. Ohhhhh lawd.

Thanksgiving - Snicker Salad (The name is fairly repulsive, I realize), it's composed of Snickers, very small apple slices and a secret recipe for a fantastic whip-cream like custard that blends it all together flawlessly.

Christmas - Everything chocolate covered (pretzels specifically) and grandma's home made cinnamon rolls.

Christmas isn't the Christmas without After Eight chocolates... but pretty much anything peppermint + chocolate.  Loving Candy Cane Blizzards at DQ right now too haha.  To drink, anything with a shot of Baileys yummm
