If you had the ability to change into any animal what would that animal be?

Once you get to a certain age, you start to realize that humans also have a short lifespan.

I'd want to be a cat. People love cats. Long ago, they worshiped cats. A cat does whatever it wants, whenever it wants. It's okay for a cat to be an asshole, everyone expects that from a cat. If you're a house cat, you can find all kinds of hidey holes to get away from your owner. When your owner is gone for the day, you can do shit you know you're not supposed to do, like get up on the table and knock shit over. Even if you are a fat cat, you can still somehow fit on the sunny window sill and look out at the yard, at the birds, at the neighbors, what have you. If you are a stray cat, people are probably more likely to feed you than they would a homeless person. You could be missing hair, teeth, and an eye, but because you're a cat, someone will still want to help you. They'll take you home, even though their mom said no, and take you to the doctor to get your shots and then you'll become a house cat because they paid $400 for you and that's quite an investment. You will own the couch and you will lick your ass on that couch, and no one is gonna stop you. And at 5 in the morning, when you feel hungry again, you will wake up anyone who will listen, and annoy them until you get what you want. You might get in trouble every now and then for breaking shit with your fat ass, and your breath might be a little stinky, but you get everyone every time with those big eyes of yours and your cute little nose and your soft, silky black fur just begging to be petted.

I'd either be a cat, because cats are lazy fuckers, and sleep all day, eat, and can attack you and still be cute and humans (aka catmoms) can't get mad at them. They are also sly as fuck and can sneak up on you and give you mini-heart attacks.

 

Or I'd be a bird, something majestic like an Eagle or something. Or maybe a goose because they are cute *honkhonk*

I also really like lemurs and flying squirrels. Another favorite (when I'm feeling weird) are the various types of ant eaters. For instance, the Echidna lays eggs, the Pangolin has scales, and the giant Anteater can reach two meters in length. And all three exist solely by eating termites and ants!

I'm going to assume I can't choose a creature that doesn't exist, like a dragon. I'd be a snake then. I hate heights, so that takes out anything flying, and anything that doesn't spend most of it's time on the ground, like monkeys. If I was a snake, I'd be poisonous, just because I like evil, and poison sounds like a nice ability to have. I could eat things larger than me, and then just lay about for hours digesting, and then go find some nice warm to bask in.
