Me searching for old dusty books around the house when me mom, "what in the world ARE you doing?". And I was like "heh nothing, school project :p" and I went dashing back to my room again. Ahah maybe later, all I could find are from the 80's

My mom helped me find it, I had to go to her house to find the book haha she knows about this hunt and now she wants to help me :p she's very competitive for an old lady.

Does the book or the story have to be over 50 years old?

EDIT:

Knew mum's hymn book was somewhere

There's no year printed in it (or copyright page) but it just says it was printed by the Greycaine Book Manufacturing Company and they went bust in the 1930s apparently.

@Syntax that has a website (www.penguin.com) and the year 1994 in it!

I don't really know how the copyright thing works and the difference between copyright and publish dates, tried googling how to tell the age of a book and it's pretty vague and I guess there's many different options infinding it out depending on the book.

@Syntax

That's exactly why I asked whether it was age of the actual book or date of first publishing.

I'd guess it's probably meant to be the age of the actual book or everybody could just post the Bible or something. :p

Depends on the version of the bible, but yes, was checking for clarity as there's a few I'm suspicious of ;)

I spoilered my entry until Nymh comes online. I'll look around for a book that has an age of 50 as well. :D

@Tubbz @Syntax The physical book must be printed over 50 years ago.

Thanks, I found my old Aesop's Fables, but it's only 47 years old, so found a hymn book that was 53 years old instead, that's why I was asking, I was convinced it was older than it was.

EDIT: I rushed to get my submission is because I was in a hurry to get out of the house, but after reading all the replies above I concluded my entry wouldn't be accepted. I will look for an older book today while I am out and about.

Quick question. If the book was originally printed 50+ years ago, but redone with just a new cover art, does that count?

I believe that means your copy must be over 50 years old, not the original run or whatever.

Perfect! I just happen to find a book that meets that age requirement. Gonna snap a picture when I get out of this uniform

I'll accept the yearbook since it is a book that was printed over 50 years ago.
