You can find geocache information on http://www.geocaching.com/ 

 

When you find a cache, you must take a picture of it and include a link to the cache's page on Geocaching.com.  When you post your picture, include a short story about your adventure finding the cache.
 
The point from this round can be used to fill in for a round that you missed earlier in the competition OR banked and used later in the place of a missed round.
The point from this round can not be used at the end of the competition to break a tie and declare yourself winner - UNLESS both participants miss a round, thus still being tied, and one has this bonus point banked.

I hope you appreciate the damned lamp shade. SO HARD TO FIND OMG. I went to home depot, I went to lowes, I went to walmart, I went to Target, I went to bed bath & beyond, I went to pier 1, I went to TJ Maxx, I went to JC Penny, I went to Macy's... and no goddamn purple lampshade. I finally found one at Fuego. I was just about ready to give up and cry.

If you can provide me a link to the cache on a different website and tell the story of finding it with a picture, that will suffice. I'm not aware of any other geocaching websites, though?

@Nymh It's ok, turns out, the site was having a spaz. When I logged in properly, it was a lot more accurate, and there's at least 3 within 1km of my house One of them I can see from my house.

So I ventured off to try this Geocaching thing.. and honestly it's so cool.    

 

I drove a mile down the road and found one on Pine Road. I had to look at the hint to realize it was under a mailbox stand, and that it was a tube wrapped in black duct tape. Inside was a silly-band which I left (as I didn't have anything to replace it with), and the log. I signed it and tucked the cache back under the mailbox stand.

 

I even went on another adventure into town to find another one, but I think the place was recently mulched and someone must have removed it.

I created an account on the Geocaching website, but I'm unable to activate it.

 

There are apparently a few caches in my area. Matt and I tried to go looking for one just based on the description. I'm fairly certain we found the spot, but we couldn't find anything there. I may try looking for another one that's supposed to be nearby, but I have no way of finding out the exact location, it's hidden in an area that's prone to flooding, and it's supposed to rain. That, and I don't want to risk getting poison ivy again for nothing.

My adventure is not very exciting. I left my house, walked less than a block's length (geocaching said 0.4 miles), walked into the woods, tripped because my foot sank into soft earth/decomposing wood puddle, dusted off my knees, panicked for a minute until I found the "treasure chest". I am happy with my achievement.
