Joe said to feel free to keep awarding his, so I have.

Well that solves that particular conundrum. :p

Considering I was long gone from staff yeaaars before the award system even existed...;)

As an ex-staff member you can still have the ability to give your award if you're going to be around to do it. ;) Not sure what's happening with Joe's one (it probably should be retired) but the Spork defiantly isn't retired.

Defiantly.

I actually thought about updating this last week, but I forgot to. @Kelvin do you allow me to update it?

Guide updated.

Considering I was long gone from staff yeaaars before the award system even existed... ;)

I was the one who put together the original list, so of course I included your mythos.

You know I never made one. I should do that. I'll have to think about it.

Could you update awardception so it states that only private+ can get the award since only they can make award images, please.

 It's not just for Private+ but it is a Private+ perk.

If a Private+ PMs you to ask if you can make an award for their contest/activity then you can (which has been an unwritten thing for a while now). Other than that, only Private+ can make awards for their own contests/activities.

I just don't see how it's a "perk" compared to just being a requirement. If you change the word, it still doesn't change what it is. I don't want to butt heads or anything, I just see it differently.

I read this page before and it didn't state anything about it, so I was misunderstanding to the award anyways.

Just because you don't see it as a perk doesn't mean it isn't? Stop beating a dead horse and wait until you're promoted like everyone else has.

The thing is I wanted to make one regardless of whether I was private or not. It doesn't seem like a perk. Perks are bonuses. Needing to be something is a requirement. It just doesn't sound right. I don't care weather I can make one now or not, it is just the wording that gets to me. Just being honest. Not a "dead horse". I haven't called anyone else names during this debaucle. Way to be disrespectful towards someone just bringing it up.

Well it is a perk. Private people get their own award, that's a perk. If you get into Private, you can have one. Cool how that works eh?
And I wasn't name calling, it's a phrase, it means you've said your piece now move along, there's no need to continue when it's not something that is going to change. Stop giving the staff grief over something you simply don't understand, it was explained to you multiple times.

You can. Emily's explanation seemed ignored.

The award said: "Awarded to those whose award design was implemented into the system. "

The description does not say anything about submitting an award idea or hosting a contest that yields an award or anything related to Private. The award is given for purely making an award design and it happens to be put into the system. You can be at the Member level and still get this award.

Just for an additional side information, I submitted an award idea with an award design within private (I didn't make the award design itself) and non of the staff implemented it. Even if you do make an award design and it isn't implemented, don't feel hard on yourself. It was the staff's decision.
