Finally! The Referral Contest is about to begin and we thought we'd give you time to start thinking of a game plan.
How to Refer: You can use Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Tumblr, and even Neopets if you’re feeling risky. Refer however you’d like as long as you are not referring on competing forums or breaking the law.
When to start: October 1st. A thread will be created in the Neocodex Competitions section. Do not start referring until you see this thread. The mod will not be turned on until then and those referred before this date will not be counted towards your total.
When it ends: October 31st. You have an entire month to refer as many people as your heart desires. You will not get results until about a week after the contest ends.
Full Rules:
1. You can use e-mail, the link provided, or just old-fashioned “door to door” recruiting to refer people.
2. Try and get the people you have referred to enter your username into the ‘referred by’ box when they sign up. They don’t have to enter a name to sign up so if they don’t, then please keep track of the people you have referred so they can count towards your total. It's just easier this way because we can keep track through the mod.
3. The person you referred MUST have five posts by five days after the contest ends or they will not be counted towards your total. Please keep track of this as well. We’re looking for activity – not people who sign up to help you win a contest and then disappear.
4. We will have zero tolerance for cheating. Cheating is when someone uses unfair and/or unstated tactics in order to try and win a contest. Basically, anything which isn’t in the spirit of the competition. If you are found to be cheating you will receive a warning and, depending on the severity, may possibly be banned from future contests. Don't test me.
Prizes:
$50, $25, $15, and $10 of store credit that can be used as store credit or can be requested as a payout to Paypal. Thank you @Hydrogen !
