Prior to getting started.
This is not a speed guide. This is a guide that requires minimal interaction and some sections take longer than others due to training time. This is not going to be an informative guide to make sure you hit all the pit stops and what every person says. This guide will guide you through obtaining the level, the party members, and the boss fights. It also contains the recommended stats prior to each boss fight (may vary if fighting on increased difficulty). PLEASE READ OVER HOW THE AUTOPLAYER WORKS.
My end of game stats :
Throughout the game, I would recommend increasing the damage skills first so the training will go faster. There isn't too much to worry about speed wise because your computer will do it all for you.
These skills take into account the items that I received from boss fights and used at the end.

Chapter 1
So you start your adventure in your home town of trestin. You are next to your mom who will heal you when necessary. Take a few steps to the left and let’s move out of your home town and start to train a bit!
I normally move below the town that way the autotrainer can move you left / right without putting you into the city.
At this point, go ahead and log into the trainer, press 4 to set yourself into hunting mode, then press 1 to start training. At this point you will train to level 7-8. Throughout this guide I will always be erring on the side of caution, in other words, I will usually put a higher level to move forward than that which is GENERALLY required. As it is helpful and can cause less stress down the road.
When you are moving, put yourself into hunting mode if you are in need of levels or want to gather more potions / gold. The move script auto battles monsters as you walk and doesn’t lose your place.
Once you are level 8, move to one space left of trestin village.
which will take you all the way to this point
This is what my stats looked like prior to fighting the minor foreman.
After you defeat him (whether by playing or autobattling), take the few steps down and use the portal to get out of the cave.
Your next script will start here -
and will end here
This is also the next starting spot of script 1.3.
If you would like to take the time to go into the city and sleep in the hotel, by all means feel free. You should have already gathered quite a few potions from your training by now, but if you want to go and buy more that option is available as well.
Prior to starting script 1.3, I would recommend going a little bit north of the starting spot and training in the grass until level 11. If you attempt to use move script 1.3 and hunting mode without first leveling up, odds are you will die and have to start over from your last resting spot.
Once you start script 1.3 it will bring you all the way to Zombom. I had no issues taking him down when I was level 12, but if you want to play it super safe you can be level 13. If you get all the way to him and don’t feel prepared, just go down the stairs above him and train until 13/14.
Once again, take the portal behind him and it will lead you to the small island. Exactly where the portal drops you is the start of the next movement script.
This will bring you all the way to where Mipsy is. Talk with her and convince her to join you on your adventure.
I personally max direct damage because I like to have the highest direct damage I can have as soon as possible. Some may use group direct damage, and others will only keep this skill at 11. I personally prefer to use direct damage and level it up to 15. The choice is yours, but for this guide I will be using DD at 15.
After you have recruited her, stock up on potions and buy weapons if you feel compelled to (you have a ton of gold anyways) or you can wait until the next town.
You will start script 1.5 directly below the city.
I was on normal traveling with this script, however if you would like to gain levels you can always travel on hunting. This will take you all the way to fudra where you can rest AKA save your spot.
Go one step left and then go diagonally northeast a few steps until you reach the next script starting point. This city has a REQUIRED talking portion.
This is your starting point for script 1.6. This will take you directly to the Hermit (Potraddo). You HAVE to talk to him. After you are done talking with him, this gives you the starting point for script 1.7.
1.7 will take you all the way to -
I recommend training up a bit for this section, as it will make things easier in the long run. You can stand outside of the entrance to the town and let the trainer run a bit, or talk to the ghost and go past him to battle other monsters. I personally stood outside of the town, and left the trainer running while I went to class and came back at level 19. You should be fine to battle the giant sand grundo at level 15. (Once again, this is erring on the side of caution, I have no doubt you could defeat him at level 12 or 13.)
Once you are level 15 or greater, the starting point for script 1.8 will be -
This will take you all the way to the sand grundo. Go ahead and fight him and take the teleporter behind him which will direct you to your next starting point.
You won’t have a boss until you fight the first ramtor, so you can use hunting mode and travel out of the tower using script 1.9.
This is the starting point.
This takes you right in front of Uthare’s shop. Stock up on potions if you need them, and swing down and grab some of the armor and weapons available.
Your next starting point will be immediately outside of the city. Prior to this, I recommend you be at least level 18 prior to fighting the first Ramtor. If you aren’t close to that level then just step outside the city and train for a while.
This script - 1.11 will take you to the first ramtor, battle him, then bring you back to the guard so you can rest. It’s recommended to rest here just in case you die so you don’t have an extremely lengthy walk.
The next script will start on the right bottom square next to the castle, and talk you all the way to the tower.
Starting point :
The ending point for 1.12 is also the starting point for 1.13. This will take you all the way to Ramtor.
I started at the starting point at level 19, and set my travel mode to hunting and started the script. By the time I arrived I was level 21. This is more than enough to beat Ramtor.
Congratulations! You are now done with Chapter 1!
Chapter 2
Script 2.1
You start this script a little left of the town. This script will take you all the way to get the wordstone and back. It’s great to get a little bit of experience, and also if you would like to purchase anything within the town of chia oscuro.
Starting Point :
Script 2.2
The starting point for this is the same as for the earlier script. This will take you all the way to the caves of terror. I travelled this road with hunting turned on, and when I got to the cave I let the trainer run for a few hours and got to level 28. This should be enough to carry you almost to the end of the chapter if you decide to do the same.
Script 2.3
This script takes you from the entry way of the caves to terror to the Mountainside Inn by Telinia.
Script 2.4
This script will take you from right outside mountainside inn all the way to Kolvars, your first real boss on this level. If you used hunting mode to travel all the way to him, you should be able to beat him easily. Recommended level would be 21-24.
After beating Kolvars, move south to Happy Valley, where you can buy your potions, weapons, and armor as needed. If you are concerned on how to get there, just hug the right wall as you go south and you will see it. It’s only 5-10 steps at the most until it gets onto the screen.
Script 2.5
You start just below Happy Valley city. This takes you all the way to right below the adventurers camp. You will have to go north 3 or 4 spaces to make it to the camp. You can talk to Allden, the bottom left character, to get a free nights stay and heal your crew.
After you reach the adventures camp, continue heading north to enter the Lost Caves.
Script 2.6
Once you enter the lost caves, you will be at the starting point of this script. It will lead you all the way out of the caves. If you need a few more levels, travel with hunting on. If you are level 28 or above, you should be fine fighting Scuzzy at the end and can travel normally.
I personally travelled from the beginning of the lost caves at level 28 with hunting mode turned on, and it took quite a bit longer than it would have without it, but I arrived at the end at level 31. This should help carry through the end of the chapter, and the beginning of the next. We naturally want to move through the next stage as fast as possible to get Velm.
Script 2.7
This is the end of script 2.6, and the beginning of 2.7. This will take you all the way to the end of the chapter for the final boss fight with Scuzzy.
Once you beat Scuzzy, you’ll move on to the next chapter.
2 down, 3 to go!
Chapter 3
Script 3.1
You start next to the princess. You can either :
a.) Use script 3.1 to get out of here
b.) Move west until you are out of the city.
Script 3.2
This script will take you from the palace to the temple of the sky and the starting point of script 3.3.
Script 3.3
This will take you all the way to Silicast, the first big boss of the third chapter. Travel to him via hunting mode. You can probably beat him on a lower level 30/31, but I would recommend being at least 33 to ensure that you don’t lose to him.
Where script ends :
Script 3.4
You start inside the palace again, you can use script 3.1 to get out or walk yourself. The starting point will be the same as 3.2.
Starting Point :
This will take you all the way to the ruined temple. You may be one step from where you are supposed to start script 3.5. At this point you should be level 34/35. You will be fighting Gebarn II next.
Script 3.5
This will take you all the way to Gebarn II. Fight him, and take the portal back to the palace. He will give you the first piece of the medallion WHICH IS REQUIRED.
Script 3.6
You will start back next to the princess. Head back out to your normal starting spot :
This script will take you to the long awaited for member of your team…VELM! Go ahead and get him to join your team. I immediately maxed Velm’s group healing ability, and then put 11 points into melee defense and 8 points into casting haste. I recommended getting these both to 11 points, then working on group shielding.
Script 3.7
Start Here :
This will take you from Velm’s tent all the way to Palace of Ancient Kings.
Script 3.8
This will take you to the revenant. If you have been traveling in hunting mode you should be well prepared by now, especially with Velm consistently healing your team. Once you beat him, talk to the princess and get out of there.
Script 3.9
Use this script AFTER you talk to Lifira. If you don’t you’ll have to make another trip up, which would be a huge pain in the ass. You will start two spaces below her, right up against the wall. This will bring you back close to the tents, a few steps off.
At this point you HAVE to go talk to her. IN THE TENT. If not you’ll get to the hermit and it won’t help. She’s in the top right tent, at the far right.
Script 3.10
You start above the south east tent, and this will take you to the hermit. You do enough traveling here that it is worth it to always travel in hunting mode. It keeps you from having to actually sit back and train while not necessarily “moving forward”.
Script 3.11
Once you talk to the hermit, he will guide you to the piece hidden in the sand. Once you are at this spot you will have to manually go in and click to pick the piece up.
Script 3.12
After you have picked the piece up, stay in the same spot and start the script 3.12. This will take you all the way to Coltzan.
Script 3.13
STAND BY THE BARREL BEHIND HIM AFTER DEFEATING HIM AND GET THE CENTERPIECE. THIS WILL ALLOW YOU TO FIND THE GEMSTONE.
This script will take you to where the gem stone is located. Once you stand on the spot the gemstone is automatically picked up. You don’t have to do anything else.
Script 3.14
Once you’ve picked up the gemstone, run this script to go to Zakharukh’s pyramid. I had been using hunting mode while traveling, and I was level 41 by this point. I traveled on normal the rest of the way out for the sake of time.
Script 3.15
The beginning of the end of this chapter! This will take you all the way to Anubits. If you are level 38+ you should have no issues beating Anubits.
What always feels like the longest chapter of NQ II = Done!
Chapter 4
Script 4.2
We can skip script 4.1, and move straight to script 4.2. If you want, you can go through and upgrade your weapons and armor in the town. I found that many pieces weren’t as good as the ones that had been dropped. While they may have had 1 or 2 points higher in damage, they didn’t provide the extra skill point benefits that the boss drops do.
Start script 4.2 directly below the city, and travel in hunting mode all the way to Castle of Count von Roo. Remember : Traveling in hunting mode reduces the amount of time that you have to stand around and train.
Yes, the scripts take longer. Yes, it’s worth it.
Script 4.3
This one starts where script 4.2 ended. It’s the beginning of Count von Roo’s castle. Run the script to get all the way to the top where you can fight Meuka.
Script 4.4
After fighting Meuka, Stand in front of Count von Roo to start script 4.4. It will take you all the way to the Cave of Dark Things. This is where the Spider Grundo resides.
Script 4.5
Throughout this entire level, I was in hunting mode as I traveled. With Velm on your team and maxed Group Healing, there isn’t much reason not to. Use the traveling scripts to your advantage so you can adequately level yourself for each boss.
After you beat the Spider Grundo, talk to him and see what he has to say, then get ready for the next script.
Script 4.6
After you beat the spider grundo, this script will take you to the faerie loving Balthazar. At this point I was at level 48. This will be enough to take care of the faeries, but I would rather hit 50 or higher before I travel on normal rather than hunting.
Script 4.7
This script will take you from Balthazar all the way to the brain tree. Yes, this section is required. Talk to the brain tree once you get to him, and then talk to Augur Faunt and rest up, also if you are in need of any potions, armor, or weapons you can get those from him also.
Script 4.8
Start this script immediately to the right of Augur Faunt and take you all the way to the faeries. I personally defeat the water faerie first each time so she can’t sit and heal her friends while I try to take them out. I was level 49 at this fight and it went very smoothly.
Script 4.9
I temporarily switched to normal when I traveled after defeating the faeries to hybrid nox castle. His castle has a ton of floors and I knew I would get enough training traveling hunting their. This script starts to the right of the faeries and will take you into Hubrids castle.
Script 4.10
I traveled all the way up Hubrids castle with hunting turned on, and was level 51 by the top. More than enough to carry me the rest of the way through this chapter. Kick Hubrid’s ass, and keep moving forward.
Script 4.11
This takes you from close to hybrid all the way to the Esophagor. Knock him out and move onto the final chapter! At level 51 I had very little difficulty beating the Esophagor. It took me a few minutes at most.
Chapter 5
Script 5.1
You don’t even have to move once you get on this chapter. Just fire up the first script and put yourself into hunting mode and getting moving. This will take you to the Northern Watchtower. Rest up and buy upgrades if you want (I didn’t).
Script 5.2
You start to the right of the right column in-between it and the staircase. This leads you to the fallen angel. I had no issues defeating her at level 53.
Script 5.3
This script starts right in front of where the fallen angel was. This will take you all the way to Vilaria, who talks about the bridge of mist and tells you to take the underclouds. Move south and take the stairs down to get to the beginning of the next script.
Script 5.3.1
This starts underneath the staircase and leads you all the way to columbus. This is a great place to train and gain a few levels, because it is fucking massive. All of these scripts were tested during the making of this guide, so they should be accurate.
Script 5.4
This script took quite a long time, this place is huge. I travelled the whole area on hunting and ended up right in front of Devilpuss at level 56. The good news is, once you hit 60 you can travel to wherever you want to go on normal.
Beat the hell out of devilpuss, and get started with script 5.5
Script 5.5
After you beat devilpuss, DON’T MOVE. You may have a harder time finding the spot to start from if you do. This will take you to the village of Cirrus.
Upgrade your armor if you choose to do so!
Buy slowing potions. You will need them against Terask II.
Script 5.6
Start BELOW the village of cirrus. This will take you to Lusina. Keep training as you travel, it makes the scripts longer but is at least making your training productive.
Script 5.7
This is the fun part. (sarcasm) Chasing down the thief! The scripts make this part a ton easier, but you will still have to go through and fire up the scripts after each battle with her. Once you get to her, go ahead and knock her down to less than 800 HP and she’ll run away from you.
Script 5.8
Start to the north-west of the blue column, and this will take you to her next hiding spot. You should be getting ever so close to the level 60 mark.
Script 5.9
At this point in time, I had reached level 60! Moving is a lot faster when you aren’t hunting. Knock the faerie thief down to 400 HP and she will flee one more time. The end is near!
Script 5.10
This script starts below Stenvela, and it will take you all the way to vitrini. Talk to her, here what she has to say about the pant devils.
Script 5.11
This script will take you from Vitrini to the right pant devil. AFTER I FOUGHT THE PANT DEVIL THE AUTO PLAYER CLOSED ON ME. THE NEXT SCRIPT IS IF THE SAME THING HAPPENS TO YOU.
Script 5.11.1
This will take you from one unit above the downstairs icon all the way back to Vitrini.
Script 5.12
This will take you from Vitrini to the left pant devil. Once again, after I beat the pant devil my Auto Player closed.
Script 5.12.1
This will take you from above the staircase after the left pant devil back to Vitrini. Once you get to her you HAVE TO TALK TO HER. She will mold the pieces together so you can fight the FIRST Terask.
Script 5.13
This will take you from below Vitrini to the first Terask. By now you should be level 60, and your stats should look something like this.
After you beat the first king terask, stay where you are at, centralized between the two columns.
Script 5.14
This will take you to the last resting spot of the game, where you can purchase potions and get a free rest.
Max out your health potions if they aren’t already, your slowing potions, and your haste potions. Also, max out the damage potions. These are worthwhile if everyone is healed and Velm doesn’t need to do anything for the group that round.
Script 5.15
Get ready for Terask II! He’s a tricky bastard and this fight always takes time. Here are the major points to focus on
For the love of all that is holy, don’t let Velm die.
Slow Terask whenever possible. The slower he is and the faster you are means less chance of one of your guys dying.
Don’t try and use celestial hammer on Terask, he will resist it 99% of the time, use the damage potions.
If you do fail, don’t worry, you come right back to this spot and you can start over.
If you equip rohane with his fathers sword, you will get a message like this when attacking
Rohane scores a critical hit!
The spirit of Rohane's father lashes out against King Terask!
Rohane slashes King Terask for 100 damage!
Thanks for sticking around until the end! Enjoy your new shiny trophy!
