Like with this forum, there are many ways to cheat in life. Before I use to think a million was a lot of money but after having made that amount I came to realize it's actually not that much. Call it greed but these days even a house cost a million.

My uncle's dog, whom I take care of when he's at work, is really old (like 15 or 16) and will need to be put down soon. He's at the point where he pees on himself while he's sleeping.

I'm a little sad that he'll be gone soon despite knowing he's had a long life.

Invited my dad to graduation even though I really didn't want him to come. He didn't come. He hasn't even called me or said congratulations.

Congratulations Em, Serious feels on this one. As someone who doesn't talk to their father or never had one growing up. I can totally relate. No Birthday Calls, no random calls to ask how I am doing. I am forced to see him every x-mas and every birthday party my sister throws for her kids. I can honestly say I don't want him to come to my wedding or any other significant event in my life because he was never there for any of the others.

 

I commend you on being the bigger person and inviting him. Hopefully you aren't disappointed because he hasn't made the effort to contact you. It's his loss on losing out on such a great daughter and her achievements in life.
