Don't know if you mean if there's a term in Portuguese or if we use it, so I'll answer both. Yes, we have a Portuguese term for engaged, but we don't use it because we're not engaged.

I miss the Three Tiny Humans so much I can barely function during the day when my mind is not occupied with something. I know they're ok in the Summer camp. I know they're learning so much with other kids, the activities and the visits, with each other and with themselves. I know he's a little man now, every time we talk on skype he tells me he's taking care of his sisters, because he's a little man now, he actually said that to me today and I almost fucking cried. And the girls are so young to us to be apart like this, I honestly feel like I'm missing a huge part of my body, but I also know this is the most amazing experience for them so far. Every time those amazing girls say how much they miss me but still I can see in her eyes they're happy to be there I just can't be sad, it makes me empty, but I'm not sad. I know they are building different social skills from what they get in school/kindergarten, I know they will want this next year, and I'm happy for it, I know they are learning about nature, respect everything that surrounds them, how to interact with older kids, how to be responsible, how to listen to other adults because mummy and daddy won't be there 24/7 to guide them. And I know they deserve this, the three of them needed this after the insane and painful months we had last year. And me and my man also needed some time for us. I know all that. But this fucking hurts.

my friend introduced me to liveleak 3 years ago. at first, i could only see them through my fingers but i've grown so accustomed to the violence that i can watch any liveleak videos without flinching.

That's how I am. I am essentially desensitized to anything and everything now. Any time something bad happens, I can't help but think "well, I've seen worse."

 

I don't know that any of this is a good thing, but I know it's too late now. Definitely nothing you should venture into if you haven't already.

There's also funny stuff on live leak. Not everything is morbid, and dark. Also, being desensitized to a lot of things (which is my goal) feces me to think with my (really tiny) brain, instead of with my emotions. Emotional thinking leads to bad choices imo.

He: "Uhh, yeah, I'll go right away!"

 

And that, ladies, is how you trick your husband into doing chores you don't feel like doing. Lol.

I considered not moving from my place just to see if he would do it, but then I looked to my friend, who is more than a sister to me and I almost barfed. Nop, never going to happen (no with her, anyway).
