Theme: Fall Food

 

Rules

1. Submit a picture of a fall food.  This can be a drink, main dish, side dish, or dessert.  You must give a recipe for the dish with your entry but you do not have to have made it yourself.

2. Finding a picture online and trying to pass it off as your own is cheating and you will be disqualified.

3. Please do not enter store-bought pre-cooked dishes.  Entries must be home cooked/made.

4. Be sure to include a piece of paper or something that says "Neocodex" in the picture so we know that you actually took the picture. Do not photoshop Neocodex in!

5. Send the picture to me!

6. Play fair and have fun!

Those are acceptable, yes.  If you don't have an autumn where you are, comfort foods should be a good bet.

I am SO DOWN with this and in fact just prepared something this afternoon...I'll snap a photo and send it (with the recipe) to you later! Oooh that little turkey award you made is CUTE! Hmmm, then again I have something else I'll be preparing on Thursday, can we submit two items together in an entry...or duh, I should most likely just snap pictures of both (the one today and the Thursday preparation) and then decide on my own which to enter.

Oh heck, I'm going to be posting Thanksgiving food...what WE are having for Thanksgiving, which definitely isn't traditional Thanksgiving food (but I don't care). I believe there's flexibility in that regard at least!

Indeed, this is not the Pumpkin Spice Contest xD.  Feel free to post whatever you like to eat in the roughly late-November timeframe.

(Also I still have two pumpkins sitting on my counter waiting to be cooked!)

i think its whatever your interpretation is on the theme, although idk if you can submit this now seeing as entries are supposed to be anonymous xD

@Nymh here is what I made today (for hubby's birthday, which was Thursday, but we preferred to celebrate on the weekend)...I decided not to enter it since I think I'd talked about it before quite a bit here on Neocodex anyway, so I didn't bother putting a Neocodex tag in the photo.

 

 

The recipe is located here, and I followed it exactly with the exception of using light brown sugar instead of sugar.
