Starts NOW, Closes Friday 26th March (so basically just over a week to enter)

Contest to be held at an agreeable time by all parties participating which will be discussed further along in this thread.

Most likely on the 28th March.

Well, it's that time again when we come to another Minecraft contest!

This month, we are putting you to the test with your battling skills in a very cool PvP arena.

The Walls PvP Survival is pretty simple with its concept. Its a 4 player map where you each start in your own corner of the world. You will begin the game stuck inside a chute before the clock starts.

You will have 15 minutes once you are released into your corner of the world to gather, craft and prepare yourselves for the ensuing battle to come.

As soon as the countdown hits 0:00 the walls of sand collapse and all four sections become one. What you decide to do from here on in could make or break you.

Some people like to hide, others like to set traps, some purely just go balls to the wall and attack anyone/anything they can catch. What you do, is up to you.

So have you got what it takes to be the sole survivor? Can you outplay your opponents and be crowned the victor? Only time will tell in this awesome, fun, brutal, exciting arena!

Depending on how many people we get entering, we will obviously be doing round of 4 players at a time, if we need more rounds to allow others to join in and make it through to the finals, then so be it. This will be decided basically on the day. If you would like to enter, please @ mention me or @Romy in this thread and you will be added to the list.

Of course, what's a contest without prizes?!

Oh! One last thing, spectating will be allowed if you do not wish to participate, but would like to watch. Just be sure to let us know so we can get you sorted on the day.

RULES

The Rules (Player)
*Wait for host to give you a "cell" before the game starts. This is your starting position.
*Once the cell pushes you up, you are free to go and prepare yourself before the walls come down.
*DO NOT break any sand blocks.
*DO NOT leave your zone delimited by bedrock.
*DO NOT build over the sand walls height.
*You can create alliances, however only one player/team can win. Treasons are encouraged.
*Use your skills, intelligence and creativity to kill other players.

The Rules (Host)
*Place the players in their cells or "tubes" on the corners of the map.
*To start the game, press start when everyone is ready. You cannot reset! So make sure everyone is ready.
*Make sure to have a player assigned to the Zone close to the clock with 2 wires.
*Make sure your server has view Distance set to 15.
*Make sure you have monsters OFF.
*If you want to play with the players, you have about 15 seconds to reach your cell and put back your gamemode 0.
*If you want the game to do on longer, you can give each players a bed and the goal would be to destroy your enemies's beds.

 

Starting resources

When you start in your quadrant and the timer begins, you will have a few resources already provided to you. You just need to find them, is the only catch

 

In total you will receive in some way or another:

'Starter' chest

20 Redstone

6 String

10 Repeaters

5 Bottles of Enchanting (each bottle gives the user +1 exp level, use these wisely!)

5 Torches

6 Sticky Pistons

2 Pistons (the regular, non-sticky type)

25 Seeds

2 Dispensers

 

'Hidden' chest

2 TNT

32 Arrows

Just HAD to outdo me didn't ya jks, thanks for the donation! I too, look forward to this one. I've been watching some youtube Let's Play series of some others playing this and I must say, it's a lot more challenging than I first thought!

I think it's a good game, but it comes down to what you like. You should give it a try I never thought I'd love it as much as I do, yet here I am.

What are peoples thoughts of possibly doing team ups instead if we get a lot of players wanting to join? I was thinking like 2v2v2v2 (teams of two for each quadrant) and then in the end we can either put the top two teams (four players) who survive the longest into a 1v1v1v1 playoff finale (one person per quadrant). (Or we can just do the one round and give out winner awards for the top team, so basically two people will get the ultimate diamond award).

If we decide that doing teams is what we want, then to make things fair, use a RNG to assign people teams or something.

Oh also, I just had a thought. If you want to be able to communicate easily without having to /tell your teammate everything, why not use skype or some sort of voice chat client?

I actually don't hey. I haven't even tried the map yet. I probably should test it works before actually committing to the contest.
