Also, I wish I got a puppy. I went to the animal shelter the other day and they all looked so sad I wanted one.

That's fantastic! Sounds like you work for a great company / have an amazing boss. I wish my company was that understanding about things like that instead of "if you're so unhappy, here's the door"

Scraping the barrel here, but, the vet is letting me lodge my Rook there for the day (for free), since the house is 94 degrees. They said I could bring the cats too, but I couldn't catch them.

Ahh, man. One time our AC broke in August. My poor dog was miserable. He would sit in front of the fan for hours It's good your vet is letting them stay there.
