Had a jazz band concert tonight and it went great.
I came expecting to play 2nd trumpet (lots of solos which I don't think I'm ready for - they're all improv) and realized that I forgot we had a guest trumpet player playing 2nd. Played 3rd/4th instead and sight read like half of the music but it went really great.
There was even an old couple in the back dancing which was super cute. I've never played for people before and had them dance to the music I helped to create, it was really a special moment for me

I've been wanting to get a new kitchen aid mixer. My mom still has mine, and refuses to give it back to me =[. They're really heavy, and I don't want to ask her to ship mine, and I don't want to buy a new one =/.

Awww, yeah, I borrowed my mom's mixer, but she made me bring it back.
Yeah, I was going to get a KitchenAid mixer, but they are SOOO expensive. So I got a Hamilton Beach one through the rewards program at my work. Figured it was better than nothing.

Hamilton Beach Classic Stand 6 speed Mixer.Absolutely, which one did you get?
It doubles as a hand mixer, which is awesome considering I don't know where the base of my old hand mixer went.

Got my first bonus from mTurk, and totally wasn't even expecting one. $.58 for something that probably took me less than 7-10 minutes.
I'm pretty happy. Definitely motivation to keep on turking. (NOT LIKE THAT!
