It's official now. They called me this morning telling me that I was selected for the first semester. Tomorrow I'm moving, for the first time in my 18 years of life. It's a bit scary, but I'm excited. Wednesday I start med school. I'm trying to pretend I'm meh for everyone else, but inside I'M FUCKING HAPPY.
Also, I got a new backpack because my last one was destroyed after 5 years of everyday use, and it had a space for laptop. I thought it was too small, but I wasn't expecting to take my laptop with me anyway, so I didn't really care. It actually fits perfectly!
Congrats! How long will it be before you're trained enough to have a look at my rash?

My class got canceled this morning. It's a last minute blessing because I still have to print something for my project. XD

So I went to the college to sign up(?) so I can start tomorrow, and the place feels so nice. I didn't feel like it was my first time there, which I think it's great. And there are so many people from my town, holy crap. It feels just like home

Thank you! I might have just started, but I've seen enough. My PM inbox is open

You must be so excited. @.@
This was from the Smithsonian
I would post ones with me in it. But those are all on Hubster's phone. xD I had so much fun, minus hurting my foot.

I am!!! I wasn't really excited, but after visiting the place, I can't wait for tomorrow
I'm jealous of you! I'm not a huge fan of museums, but I'd love to visit the Smithsonian.

The Smithsonian has been on my wishlist since I was a kid pretty much. We went to the Air and Space one too. It was absolutely amazing to see all the stuff they had. But it was really, really crowded (because it's free). It was such a thoughtful Valentine's present from my husband. I was running around like a kid in a candy store lol. xD

I love DC. My fiance and I went back in August, but we only got to spend 48 hours there. We walked and saw all of the monuments, and we made it into the Museum of Natural History, the American History Museum, and the Holocaust Museum. We also paid to visit the Crime and Punishment Museum, which was definitely worth it. We are into that kind of stuff anyway, and we were fed up with the crowds at the free ones, so we figured to give a pay one a shot. We are for sure going back in the future, hopefully with more time to see everything. I could spend two weeks there and not do everything that I wanted. I can definitely tell from your photos and my prior visits to DC that February is a much better time to go than July or August. Our next visit will certainly be in the Winter time.

How was the Holocaust Museum? We were gonna hit that one up but I destroyed my foot. So, we had to stop our plans short. We had planned to go to the Library of Congress and the National Archives. We only live like 3 hours away though, so I know we're gonna go back for sure.

The Holocaust Museum is ok given the content, but it was probably the most packed, next to the Natural History one. We also made it to the National Archives, and did other things that I'm probably forgetting. I've always wanted to go to the Spy Museum as well, and I hate we missed Air and Space during our last visit. This was my third trip and my fiance's first.
It's a good 6 hour trek for us, and we left at 5 AM on Saturday to go up, and left at 5 PM Monday, so we had an action packed 60 hours. I wanted to take in a Washington Nationals game while I was there, and see the Book of Mormon at The Kennedy Center, but there just wasn't enough time. If you ever find yourself in Alexandria, Sweet Fire Donna's is an amazing restaurant that you should check out. We ate there Saturday night, and liked it so much that we went back for dinner Monday on our way home.
That's a huge life accomplishment congratulations!!!
Yeah it is a pretty big deal I suppose. It's not exactly the timing I imagined, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do, and it just made sense to buy now. We will see how it pans out. It is added stress seeing as I am going to enroll in grad school this Summer, but once the dust settles, I am sure I will adjust and eventually conclude that it was the right decision.

Even though I have the cheaper (read as: "crappier") insurance for military families, it's so much easier to see specialists whenever I need because no referral process. I managed to get an appointment for next week at an orthopedics office to get my feet looked at, since the urgent care doctor thinks I could have stress fractures in two parts of my right foot and both arches collapse completely when standing. So I could have special orthotics for my dumb feet soon! Yay. And no long ass waiting period. It's going to cost a bit of money. But it'll be worth it if I can get some snazzy custom made feet things.

I got a new pair of shoes and HOLY SHIT. IT'S SO COMFORTABLE. They have cushion inside, it feels like walking on heaven. Seriously, it's like walking on clouds of cotton.
I'm also back home for the weekend and I'm FINALLY going to watch Deadpool.
