I have a plastic ninja knife and a metal ninja star I got from Japan (the star, not the knife. I got the knife at a convention) and somehow managed to get past US customs. You think they'd be better at that. Metal throwing stars are sharp and can be hurtful, and can be classified as weapons. But apparently they're allowed through customs.
