Yep. The AC guy came yesterday, ran water through the compressor, which did nothing. When I turned it back on to show him there was still no airflow, he shot a little thermometer at it and said "but look, the air is 72 degree", which means JACK if there's no AIR coming out of the VENTS. So. Two hours later, the house was the SAME temperature 88F. This morning, 87F. I had to drop the dog at the vet to be kenneled, because of the risk of heat stroke. It was 94F when I got home, again.
I put up a huge fit, and my delinquent landlady actually called me back (I wonder if it was the email that I sent to everyone that works for her, or the Facebook message, or the phone message...). Anyway, supposedly duct people coming to tomorrow to look at them, and hopefully get it back to my miserable 82F the place usually is. I have to miss work tomorrow to wait for them. Luckily, I can work from home, (unlucky, it's hot). I need to try to get up there anyway, for one of the bonuses (man I love the geology department).
To make a short story long, my landlady is about as useful as mudguards on a tortoise, and the only reason I haven't moved is I don't want to lose my yard!
